I will definitely be there, even if only for 2 or 3 days, due to work. As long as it's not the last week of July or the first week of August. :)

I'd like it to be in San Francisco. But I think you all know why :)

I'd like to say I'm going, but I don't think I'll have the funds for it. Perhaps Mittens 2005... but I will of course be saving like hell anyway. Viva la revo--- mittens!

n3tgraph

:O but you live in .... in AMERICA!

oh well :P

I found this:

vlucht 3884
vertrek Amsterdam 09:25, aankomst Londen Stansted 09:35
Flexibel internettarief 10.49 EUR (normaal tarief 17.49 EUR)

meaning...

Amsterdam - London = 10,5 euros - which is practacly nothing...

How much would a flight London to Albany cost?

AGA

Like I said above, around £400 return, which is about 575 Euro.

I'll be there :) n3t, it'll cost me whatever AGA just said it'll cost - 400 - 500 pounds.

Quintaros, yeah, here's a summary of what we did in a nutshell:

2002:
- drank alcohol, went to a theme park, got wet, played football and frisbee, cj ate an onion ring, john fell of a chair, we went to a computer game exhibition in London, we all talked about adventure games, I stole an ash tray.

2003:
- we did some sport. then a bit more sport. then some more sport. then a little bit more sport, and finally some more sport. Plus, we had a camp-fire and sat around and sung whilst Andail got very drunk, Helm and 2ma2 drew lots of things, there was a PC so we did a proper showcase of games, plus some people worked on a game, there was an "Urban Joe" tournament, Helm smacked a jelly fish, some of us went in a boat, Goldmund smoked some menthol cigarettes.

:)

While money isn't really a problem, timing is. I probably won't be able to go to this years mittens as we pretty much have no summer holiday in school this year.

Up state NY? no problem, I'll drive up, and  since I work for my self, I'll stay for the whole time as long as loging isn't exspensive (i.e. free).

Eric: if you need help with planning, drop me an email, I'm only a few hours away.

As far as the school thing goes, I'm in college and we finish up in late/mid May.  Colleges here tend to get out earlier than high schools, which generally let out in June.  Early June would probably be the best for me.  I know it's impossible to take everyone's preferences into account, but for completeness' sake there it is.

Well, since I never post and am hardly ever in #ags, I don't know who'd know me there, but I think I may be able to go if it's in July or August.

I'd definately like to go, but as scotch says it's difficult for us Europeans to be certain this far in advance without knowing dates and so forth.

As has been noted, flights are significantly cheaper in June than July/August, but this may pose problems for people at college.

On a related note, it's probably important to re-state the minimum age for attendance, which as far as I remember is 16.

Quotehere's the reasons why i should organize it:

there's an international airport less than an hour away from me Albany International Airport
there are campgrounds less than an hour away from the airport [i believe]
i live in upstate new york
i'm 20 feet tall

Do you, AGS Community, take eric to be your lawfully wedded Mittens organiser, and Dave Gilbert as his associate; to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, until the gathering being over doth do us part?

Privateer Puddin'

are you gonna argue with a 20ft tall guy?

Uh, Mittens thing sounds fun.
I'd join but I have absolutely no finance for any trips, and living in Estonia, one of the eastmost countries in northern Europe doesn't make things any easier. After all, getting a visa to USA, for example means a lot of pain and cash, and I probably should take a boat to Finland,
because US Embassy in Estonia deals only with smaller things (what they could be, I wonder? Espionage and such?) and getting on a plane means another trip over Western Sea, beacuse planes to that far, take off in Finland.
Maybe our recent uniting to European Union makes things easier, but It's too recent, no big changes were made yet. And most Americans still think that we're communists and still USSR, so in their big fear'o' terrorists, getting a visa is much more difficult than making an adventure game... :(

Well, I don't think its that important how "well known" you are to attend. I remember JetXL turning up to 2002 and I certainly hadn't heard of him before :p That was a brave move, cos I don't know if anyone had! LOL.

None the less, you really must, when the time comes, let Eric (or whoever organises it) know that you wish to attend. People turning up randomly that hadn't told anyone they were coming can be a bit weird.

Comma - loads of people know you, you silly Brody :p
