Mittens 2004 anything concrete yet?

I might be a bit too soon with thish, but,

is there anything concrete on mittens 2004 yet?
is it going to be in the USA for real?

Maybe some members need to save money for an event like that

oh, and if anyone has a good tip for me how to fly to the USA, please tell me cause with our local airline I need to pay 900 euros, and that is too much I'm afraid ._.

i'm pretty sure the only thing confirmed is that its in the USA.

i don't know whether going via London is any cheaper, but if you do, you will be able to meet up and travel with us brits going

Nothing's set in concrete yet, I'm not sure if anyone has volunteered to host/organise it. I believe some of the following;

- It may be in New York
- It may be 10 days as apposed to five
- It may be teh cool

Yep, we're pretty sure it will be in the US, so long as somebody who lives there is prepared to be the organiser/co-ordinater, as m0ds was in 2002 and Andail in 2003.

It probably is a good idea to get this organised relatively early because transatlantic flights can get significantly more expensive the later you leave booking.

well as far as i know people have been asking me how mittens planning is going

here's the reasons why i should organize it:

there's an international airport less than an hour away from me Albany International Airport

there are campgrounds less than an hour away from the airport [i believe]

i live in upstate new york

i'm 20 feet tall

Yeah... Anyway, I have always wanted a live web cam from mittens. The last time I checked New York isnt really a camping area. Maybe a possiable live mittens contests broadcast? Just an idea... Ah, only 4 more years til I can go... Have fun whilst it lasts

If it turns out to be in New York (and most signs seem to point that way), I'd be more than willing to help out Eric with the organizing.  I'm not sure I'd want to be "in charge" per se, but two heads are better than one.

Wow, I was hoping to go to Mittens, and I was hoping it was a little closer to The Netherlands, but it seems like I just can't pay the 900 euro, not now, and not in a year! So I'll just hope that next Mittens (2005... boy that seems a long time from now!), is closer to holland.. something like, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain... something like that. O well... I'm anyway, still a newbie... I guess it's for the best to wait another year.

cause if it's a reasonable number I have a place we can all stay for free. it would basically be just like at andail's, cabin with running water and bathroom and kitchen and a private beach

It's time that we can turn to Tyranny Of Distance on to others.

I think Canadia has Mittens 2006 sowned up as well.

It's a complex formula, but they have the seniority to beat any Euro country for the prize bar the UK and Sweden who have each had an innings.

Then to break the monotony and the reward just about the most senior AGSer, 2007 is going to Hong Kong.

I think for a lot of the Europeans it'll be hard to say they're going with absolute certainty..

I think there's a high chance I'll be going, can't really say any more than that.  Don't know which airport we travel to, it may well not be the closest to wherever mittens is so I wouldn't worry about that, we didn't mind travelling around Sweden from our remote airport, the language barrier might be a little bigger than when we went to sweden but I'm sure we'll work it out.

there is Albany International Airport... just so you know... that's the best airport to shoot for cause that's like RIGHT there and I'm like RIGHT here and my camp is BOOM! right over there and it's all a nice thing with happy and glitter

I can´t say that I will definitely go... But I really wish. As for a London rendevouz, I did it, and I had a really nice night in Stanstead airport, playing arcade, invited with m0ds, and enjoying the nice floor of the terminal, hehe...
