There are a confirmed eleven laptops being brought to Mittens, bringing us to a total of $18,000 of burglariffic merchandise!

PS: Mittens talk really needs to be heating up soon, so doth I think.

how is the tent-situation?
Will far away guests like yours truly be guaranteed a place indoors?

I have this plan that I will travel with only hand-bagage, to save as much time as possible for Dave's van crew.
Bringing a tent will not fit that plan nicely.

I've only worked for 2 weeks at this new job I got for the summer, but they have been very pleased with the progress I've made so far. So, today I asked if I could take a week off by the end of July to attend this "International Gathering" in NY, and they said that it would be no problem and they could acomodate it.

So, I guess I'm going to Mittens 2K4EB! I'll be leaving on saturday, and I'll probably arrive at the Albany airport, since I'll probably work that extra day on Friday.

I haven't bought the tickets yet, but I'll update this post when I do :)

m0ds

When you say, "they'll accomodate it", do you mean they'll pay for your flight?

edmundito

Heh, actually I meant that I could make up for the time I missed for that Electric Boogaloo week...

Yeah, I wish they paid for my ticket.  ;D But I am using the money I'm getting paid from there to pay for the ticket, though. Still... I could have spend all of that money on booze!!  booze!!!  :P

I have to cancel my attendence due to a recent work opportunity that will last for the duration of July and well into August.

I hope you guys have fun, and that perhaps I can join in next year.

Bummer, Even!
This makes me mighty disappointed.
Aargh.

Adamski

This makes me disappointed too, I was quite looking forward to meeting you man. Much to discuss, we had.

Grundislav

What what whaaaaaat?! I thought I was the one who was always supposed to bail out at the last minute!  Too bad, now we won't get to make any cinematic masterpieces or annoy the others by talking like Christopher Walken.

Revenge will be mine!!!

So who all is going to Mittens this year?

I live less than two hours away, so I plan to stick my head in for a little while and meet some of the great people around here, but I'm curious as to who is coming.

BTW people, The Great Sacandaga Lake and surrounding area is one of the more beautiful parts of New York State, and more representative of what Upstate New York is like, for those who think NY is like the city.

Thanks for all the love.Ã,  My boss returns from Memphis tomorrow from the location scout, so perhaps he can tell me the window of time there is actual work.Ã,  Ã, However I suspect Mittens time will conflict with heavy duty work time.

I'm weighing these out, and I really really would enjoy meeting all of you and making little movies, and annoying the crap out of you with impressions.

We'll see.

Hey, Kingsized Evenwolf... maybe we could hold Gloves: Midsouth, since you live in Texas and I live in Arkansa(w)s.... Then again, it's at least 10 hours from here to where you live, so maybe not. :P

I'm going. I'm trying to get a hold of Mills to figure out when he arrives. If anyone has see a little boy by the name of MillsJRoss please contact the national netmonkey foundation.

Andail

From what I heard, MillsJRoss bailed as well.
Same goes for Unilin.

It's funny that when Mittens is held in Europe, all the americans start to whine about how far they'd have to travel and how they regret not being able to come. And they say "if Mittens could be in USA for once, I'd surely come".

Dave Gilbert

Is there an official list of the folks coming to Mittens?  Just curious who is showing up.

Mills is coming... he gave me a time! Unilin.. umm... you should ask.

evenwolf

I had no problem with Mittens 2003 except that I was busy working then too. Sweden would have been fun and exotic.  New York is still 2000 miles away from me, and as of yet- my schedule is ludacris.

It's gonna be tough for me to attend, given that in the last month I've spent $2000 (USD) on dental work/operations (son-of-a-bitch!!)

But I might just hop in my Jeep and make the trek ... it's probably about 1800 miles for me I think.

I do love upstate New York ...

Andail

Oh, sorry about Mills then.
I just know he won't be riding with our van, but I guess he'll arrange it in some other way.

And Even....no, that's not enough explaining. I still prefer to whine about it :p

MrColossal

yea mills is coming into Albany Airport not Laguardia

he was afraid you'd... touch... him
