** This posting can be seen as a shameless self-promotion. However, it also serves the purpose of raising my team's ambition to finish our current project **

Thanks Mr Colossal, Pablo and GarageGothic for calling our game an obscure favorite .. that's really nice - especially four years after its release :)

The official AGS-Download-Link should now be working properly again.

The game really started out as an exercise in programming. I did civil service at that time (which might have influenced the title ;) ). I always wanted to learn programming so I created the first room (the one with the palm and coconut) just to try out some very basic scripting.
It grew from there - the characters in the game were all inspired by people whom I met in the hospital where I was working. A tragic example is Kurt, who appears as the crazy host of a gameshow in the game. In real life he had suffered a stroke but often came to our office to talk with us about his very vivid life... shortly after we had created Kurt's Quizbeach in the game he died of a second stroke.

A few month after releasing the game I was really proud to find a walkthrough of the game written in Swedish on some website. And I was also honoured by your fan-mail Pablo ;)

However, the burden of a sequel (bigger, louder, funnier) means a lot more work. We hope to release the sequel sometime before 2012 ... because as we all know in 2012 the world will end.
You don't believe me? ... You think that DDDDD was just a small unimportant game with a romantic ending where a young couple in love is sailing toward the sunset while "I can see clearly now the rain is gone" is playing in the background? - think again and watch the super-secret taking-itself-way-too-serious teaser for the sequel: Itzamná - The Riddle of Rain Island
