When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

Excellent, jetxl! Glad to see you turning up again this year! :)

Yup, Andail - could you PM me the address and a contact telephone number? Don't worry, it wont be posted on the site - I'll send it out in an email.

So that means, if you haven't signed up from the site and you're coming then you wont get emailed the information. So sign up. Don't just turn up! Kandyman.

IS ANYONE BRINGING A LAPTOP? or are you dumping a PC in the cottage, Andail? :P

:P

An Island called Orust just north of Gothenburg, Sweden

Will I need to bring a sleeping bag?

Will I need to bring a sleeping bag?

I was wondering that, also...

I´ve been told that I´ll have bed because I will be one of the AGSers who comes form further away (is that true?), but I need more info.  What about the sleeping bag?

Thanks!
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Is there another person arriving on the airport around 11:00
(I think someone said he/she/it arrived at 12:30.)

And I will bring a sleapingbag (and a blue cup), but not a tent.

All right, an update:

I've spent the weekend at the cottage, building, repairing and cleaning up until my muscles ached and I had small wooden pins all over my skin. It's pretty decent now, but still a bit old and rusty. There is also a smell in some of the rooms - as in the guest house, so if you're allergic to mould and similar, it's probably best to choose the tent. Remember to pack a set of clothes that are not too expensive, since dirt is kind of the keyword for the cottage. Don't forget bathing suits as the weather is nice, and some shorts, since we will be sporting alot - there's the mittolympic games taking place on the tuesday.

Yes, please bring sleeping bags. If we reach around 16-17 people, I'm sure you'll understand that I can't provide sleeping bags for all of you. Of course, sheets is a more comfortable alternative and weigh less.

I still haven't solved the bed-issue, so I can't make any promises.
I guess the three or four attendees who've travelled the farthest distance are more or less guaranteed a bed. They're worth it, so to say. We must also pay respect to people with bad backs or claustrofobia and similar.
I will sleep in a tent myself, and I think Mods made the same promise.

The weather is nice but a bit unstable. When it's really sunny and nice, the mittens-location is a heavenly place to be, whereas constant rain and thunderstorms (there are lots of those around here) can make it less heavenly, so to say.

It'd be great if Chrille or someone had a laptop to bring, but I will probably consider bringing my desktop if that's the only alternative.
Remember to bring discs or cd:s with your show-and-tell material.

I will personally leave on sunday before dinner, and I can take two or maximum three people in the car, since I will have lots of luggage.
If you arrive earlier during the weekend, pm me and see if there is a place available for you.

My cell phone number is 0046 (0)704 546845.
Yes, mystical stalkers and spammers, that is my real cell phone number.

Ok, that's all for now. OVer and out.

I think only remains a question: There will be pubs? WIll clothes for picking girls be required?  ;D

I will bring jerseys, but... could be a good idea to bring an anorak? I hope not... :-[

Benidorm is a very sunny place... Brittons had told me that here in January is like there in May... I think I am going to be cold  :-X

So... Adventure in Sweden! \o/

P.S. I don´t matter to sleep in a tent.

P.S.S. I will also bring a Bluecup... the problem is that there is a paited Tweety on it... I won´t delete tweety, That´s my gilfriend´s favourite cup for soups.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Chrille

I'm afraid I don't have a laptop but I'll bring my digital camera. We also agreed I'd bring my DVD player just in case we ever feel like watching any movies. If the weather stays fine we probably won't :).

Anyways, I'd rather not bring my entire DVD collection, so if anyone has any request for a movie they'd really like to see here's my list:

Maybe if anyone else has any good movies they could bring those too,  it's a region free player.

Farlander: We might invite some girls for a party on wednesday night. We might also visit a small nearby pub one of the days. Bring a good outfit and some witty lines.

Chrille: As much as I want the weather to be good enough to not make movie-watching an option, you could always bring Mad Max.

Chrille

Hehe, too bad for Farlander that he already has one :)

Andail: Sure I'll bring it.

I suppose you´re talking of girls.

Yes, a lovely girl called Lorena will be waiting for me, I love her a lot ( :)), so... this is going to be the first day(s) I won´t see her in two years.

So you can figure how important is this meeting for me  :).

P.S. As for me... a Monthy Python´s DVD should be prefect.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

magintz

Monty Python :D

I'm not sure if people will be able to bring their own. Chrille - is your DVD region coded? what region is it? should be region 2 -  or can it play DVD's from anywhere?

If it is region 2 I suppose I can bring space jam, matrix, spiderman, die hard 3...

If it can play american ones I can bring whole nine yards, meet the parents, not another teen movie, planet of the apes, american pie 2 as well.

Nacho

Die Hard... mmmm.... Superb trilogy.

Magintz: 'it's a region free player.'

MachineElf

The problem with American movies might be the NTSC issue. That means if the TV out there is not too new and fancy we won't be able to see any colours on the American or Japanese DVDs.

Btw, I'd like to see The Others. Haven't come around watching it.
There are 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Pessi

I'm afraid I won't be coming. Just to inform all those that I've said I would be coming.

It's actually due to the fact that Ghormak isn't going. Somehow I don't have the urge to get the small loan for the trip anymore.

It sucks, but at least I'll get my drums updated sooner. :P

Have a great Mittens, guys!
