I've tried twice to add the GiP and Hints threads to the CD demo and it won't take - is it because I can't put a link to the Completed Game Announcement (for obvious reasons!!)?

At first I just copy and pasted the thread links and that didn't work. I believe you need to type in only the ID numbers near the end of the link, that worked for me.

example...

If you look up at the top of this page, the ID number for this thread would be...
topic= (47949)

CaptainD

Thanks Nick, that worked.  :smiley:

That should maybe be said on the page you edit/add a game, so people don't do the same mistake as CaptainD did..
(Or make a neat small script that will catch the topic id from the link).

Well, the text next to the label says "Complete Game Announcements thread ID: " so for me it was obvious what to put in there. I think it's good to use the ID instead of the full link, because a link might change (as it has happened several times already)

That message is on the add / edit page! (it's actually the same page, just with different logic involved).

Could probably make it just pick out the thread ID from the whole link easily enough.  Seems overkill though.  I personally think CaptainD was just being a bit silly and not reading TFM (or TFNOTP... The F Note on the Page)

Gonna do some serious rating when I get home :D

Hey, was that there before?  If so I apologise and eat humble cow pie.  Also I apologise to Ponch for eating cow pie.

Just a question, don't know if it's the right place, but I prefer not to start a new thread for my question.
I saw "The last 100 Panel ratings" section: there are games "RATED 0".
What does this mean? Those games are rated less than one blue cup?

When you click any of the "Rated 0" games, it shows that it was not rated yet. So that, I guess? Or maybe the length, content advisory and genre was set, but not yet the cup rating itself.
