I think Simon 2 was the best. However not only did he move about as fast as a drunken snail, the other characters were also extremely slow. This only affects gameplay during the talking scenes, but it drove me nuts, being used to LucasArts and Sierra.
I particularly liked the idea of the old-new combination in Simon 2, such as the surveillance cameras at the three bears' cottage and the MucSwampling's restaurant in the middle of a medieval town.
I've also played Simon 1, never finished it though.

Oh, by the way, "What do you call a man with a seagull on his head?" ;D

Does anyone know where to GET simon the sorcerer? :/

m0ds

I have Simon 2 on CD, found at a car-boot sale - but I haven't played the first one yet...so I've decided to wait on the second one for now :p Are they freeware yet? ;)

Sirus_Odon

I've been looking for a downloadable one for ages :(

Simon 1 and 2 are still sold at retail, and freely available. I've seen them in various stores (GAME, HMV, etc) fairly recently. Or you could try here.

It seems super expensive at the activison store :(

(Also, I don't have creditcard, but I'd totally buy it if I did)

Come down to GameWorld in Leicester, for we have one copy of Simon the Sorceror on cd! Without the case.. so I'll sell it for a mere pound coin I think.

We did have Simon 3D as well, but someone bought it.

We still have Simon's puzzle collection though! Come and get it! Please.

The Hinckley city GameWorld is where I bought Leisure Suit Larry 6, Under a killing moon and ToonStruck fully boxed and unused for 50p each.

Becky

I got Simon 1 + 2 from either GAME or Gamestation for £7.  It's out there.

I absolutely loved the Simon the Sorcerer games.... I used to have a Talky Simon The Sorceror version, with the voice of Chris Barry (Red Dwarf - Rimmer, Tomb Raider - Butler) as Simon, and all the NPC's had voices too, i thought it was pretty amazing.

I can't remember where i got it, but it's out there somewhere.

Did you know that Chris Barrie voiced Simon? (Chris Barrie is Rimmer off Red Dwarf)

I have great memories of the original Simon...it was such a pleasure to come home and play it. I still remember the music vividly (that's not necessarily a good thing  ;D) ...but I did not enjoy Simon 2 and didn't even try Simon 3....The character got too bratty for me- not charming, just bratty and irritating, which is a shame. I imagine he was supposed to appeal to a certain type of person, but he didn't appeal to me. Not sure what they'll do with him in the new game.

I didn't mean to copy what VintageDemon said, I guess i missed his post. I noticed alot of people said it's out there somewhere, but it's confirming the truthÃ,  ;D Anyway nevermind, who really cares that much. Maybe you do and i apologise.

I think Simon 1 & 2 is on Home of the Underdogs, i think it's DOS version though. But it's definately there. I used to have the Amiga versions in original when i was younger, but i would imagine they would be pretty rare.

EDIT: Oh no i just realised Vintage post after me...So i didn't copy him.. Nevermind.

So does that mean you guys know where to get a playable version(s)? Cause I could care less if it's DOS.

Esseb

No one on this forum is going to link to a place where you can download them, Sirus. If you want to warez them, ask elsewhere.

If you want to buy them, however, you can do so here.

No, Esseb, the funny thing is, Unknown_Terror had just said
