Heh, QfG IV has all that, plus very good voice acting and an eerie setting/mood. And yeah, I liked QFG V too, it was a good game.

That's true and QG4 is my second favorite in the series but the original started it all and contained that quintessential element which was "to be a hero". By the time QG4 came around you were a seasoned adventurer. In the first one you were still the underdog...
