Well I did have every intention of joining everybody at the ceremony, but it's looking as if we've got a mandatory family outing at that time.  Dualnames, if you're reading this, please stand a cardboard cut-out of me in a prominent position.  Congratulations to all the nominees and of course to the winners -I'll be sure to read up on the results afterwards.  Happy ceremony!

No worries, Baron. Family is important. :P  :D

Link is dead. Testing went immensely great. I'm so glad you're gonna be there Ponchy!!

Do I still get to be the guy in the cool cowboy hat? ;)

And Baron: Do what I did. Get someone to cover for you. Ask a cousin, or a family friend, or rent a hobo for an afternoon!

That's too bad. :'(  Both of your avatars have made it into the ceremony. I hope someone will pick the poor dung shoveler.

Do this, it's always fun to come home to un-flushed toilets and beer bottles.

No, that was a test version. I'd like to take the chance and say that IF you have any version of the ceremony, so far
1)Don't use.
2)Delete.
3)See 1 and 2.

I'm working on the final version as we speak.  ;)

HOURS LEFT

In case anyone is wondering

Maybe I'm doing my maths wrong but right now it says more than 10 hours.
Maybe it doesn't work for all countries?

It works for me (when using the "forum-time", normally shown above) and not "my" time.

Only trouble I have, that forum-time isn't shown right at the moment  :P

Far too late for the actual ceremony, but thought i'd mess around trying to create a character (my first!) anyway. Here's what I got so far. Only 3 frames so it's a bit jerky - it's much smoother in AGS tho - and the up/down views are horrible as I can't draw animals face on. Can't draw them from the side either but you know..

Less than an hour to go folks!!

Reporting LIVE from the AGS awards ceremony...

I won't spoil anything for those who aren't watching. All I'll say at this point is that there seems to be an unwritten rule that everyone with the same avatar has to stand next to each other. I have never seen so many Sams and Maxes in my life. And for some reason, all the Sams seem to be standing up the front so no one else can see anything (see pic below - thanks Armageddon).

Armageddon

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!! :o

Congrats to Theo for winning everything.

Great awards ceremony this year, everyone! It was definitely worth staying up for.

And for everyone that was unable to attend for whatever reason, worry not! You'll be happy to know that you can experience all 1 hour 50 minutes of the 2010 AGS Awards show vicariously through the magic of time-o-matic video capture!

I will be looking into a method of compressing the 1.5 gigabytes that the file currently takes up, and once it is ready, I will be uploading it to this thread. Watch this space! And once again, congratulations to all the winners, nominees and everyone else who released a game in 2010. And especially large congratulations to Theo, who took home 80% or more of the trophies this year. Well done, everyone!
