Yes absolutely.

Incidentally are there any budding background artists who'd like to help cut their teeth on this project?

skerrigan

Er... evidently not. Here's one though I made earlier.

Love the idea of a Doctor Who adventure game as I'm a fan of the show myself, however not so much of the movie.

I hope this is an appropriate question to ask here, what inspired the name for the game episode?

skerrigan

All the old Dr. Who episodes have silly names - this one is sillier, and the reason for it being so will be apparent towards the end of Episode 1.

Just a brief heads up to give full permission to the author, and indeed anyone else who has the urge to utilise the spinning tardis animation in any of their works. The original 3d model it's based upon was not made by myself, so it would be hypocritical of me to restrict its usage.

I'd appreciate a brief mention in the credits, as it did constitute an hour or so of work, but I'm just happy to see it being put to some use.

On a related note, when I have the time to, I'll upload the full dalek character set for open usage. I'll let you know once they're on the forums.

I do have a vague use for the daleks in Episode 2 - "Castle of the Daleks". I don't suppose anyone has castle backgrounds (interior and exterior) they could donate. It's really backgrounds that seem to take forever - and I'm not convinced they'll look particularly consistent.

currently working on:

I am in the Brainstorming stage.  Also am trying to gather a team.
I am committing to this game.

Thinking about creating another game, NCIS themed.

I love Doctor Who, but I've only seen the new version, never the original series. I should though. Will this game be close to the original series, you know, just out of curiosity? Though I've never seen it.

skerrigan

The 8th Doctor is kind of a bridge between new and classic Doctor Who, so it will be a hybrid of both.

This TARDIS animation thing, why can't you use SetIdleView and put the delay to 0, would it not then animate continuously?

Oh, well now I know. This should be fun!

Hey, this game looks really good and i hope you can finish it soon. I'm having trouble downloading the first episode though. When i try your links there is no download button so i cant download it. Any idea when the full game will be finished?
