One room left to be programmed and drawn. I've also received the first voice clips of another character. The voice acting is as close as it gets to commercial, and I'm very excited about it all.

I've added "cutscenes" as a progress in the first post, since this will be my greatest challenge in the time forward. It looks like this adventure will be half game/half movie.

If anyone is still paying attention, I'm sorry for being this slow. I'm busy both in the computer and real-life departments of my life. And hell, it's summer now too. I just have this thing of feeling guilty being inside when it's sunny outside.

Any questions or comments, feel free to post them. Call me an egocentric comment hungry internet bastard, but it's stuff like that which keeps me going.

Oh, and chocolate with soft caramel stuffing.

You are an egocentric comment hungry internet bastard!  := Now doesn't that make you feel better.

What's this, no more screenies?? I want to see more of Earl! Now!  :)

Barbarian

Clever.

Thank you all for your complimenting compliments. Your words made me strong enough to suffer through the AGS 2.6 programming style, and keep on rocking. I am now pleased to announce that I'm pretty much done with the scripting. Just a few minor tweaks here and there, and it's fully playable. Keep in mind this is just the gameplay, and there's still alot to be done before we're there.

In other news, I'm thinking of changing the name to either "Fugitive: The Adventures of Earl Mansin"(Followed by fugitive 2 and 3 in the sequels) or "Earl Mansin: The Escape"(Followed by other clever names behind the semi-colon in the sequels). I'd like some opinions on this. Also, if someone has any other suggestions, they are very welcome to share it.

Last, I'd like to mention I have not forgotten my BETA testers, and you will get your claws on the game soon. Sorry for being so late.

Barbarian

Hillbilly, ya lazy slob, hurry up and get "Earl" released for us.. We want Earl... We need Earl.  ;D

Anyways, good to know you're making good progress on your game and that it's near completion.  Looking forwards to see it in action.

I'd vote for the "Earl Mansin :", it's a cool name and the game is all about him after all - fugitive would fit a person who's main characterstic is being a fugitive, and somewhat imply his innocense.

So in other news, I changed the title. Now,

EVERYONE GET USED TO IT.[/i]

This will be hard, but I'm sure you'll work out a solution. Do it for me, guys, for me.

I've received more voices from Earl, and it's still in sync! The music is soon finished, and it sounds awesome, believe me! I still draw like crap, but it's almost all the crap I need for a full game!

I love how this project is not going down the toilet. It's a great feeling.

Ubel

Hey Hilly, nice to see so much progress. I'm so gonna love this game, I just know it. Keep! It! Up! :D

Right now I have enough, but if somebody backs out, I'll keep you in mind. Anyhow, isn't it much more fun to play the finished, bug-free result?

Hey,

Since it's been a month since I replied to the thread, I'd just like to mention that the game is still very much in progress.

- graphics 95%
- puzzles 100%
- scripting 95%
- music 90%
- voices 80%
- cutscenes 85%

I'd show you something, but I'm saving it all for the release.

CoffeeBob

Sounds great, HillyBilly, can't wait to play this awesome-looking game. :=
It's a good thing you're saving for release, gets people more excited and curious. I'm sure none of us will be dissapointed when we finally get to play it. :)

Svartberg

I'm checking each day for that shiny "cutscenes 100%" so i could get my arse into gear ;)

And don't forget about Igor and Ivan which are ready to redecorate your house if you don't deliver in time :)

No, I just wondered why the name was changed. I found the original name quite funny, maybe because there was already a game called Breakout.

Yeah, I know. That's reason number one to change it. Second reason is if I ever get around to make a sequel, there won't be much "breaking out".  :P
