A while back I said something about a OSD game. Well here it is!
The biggest and the best OSD to come(for now) This game explains the history that monkey left out XD

OceanSpirit Dennis: Rise of the spirit
Progress: %35

In the world of OSD at the top of a tower in Archipelago. After master XL is banished to the void by one of his students named Izaku. Dennis trys to avenge his master by killing Izaku however Dennis ends up being defeated and is sent to the world of Senpah as a spirit. He is now in search of the Shogin crystal so he can become a human again. Prepare to begin a new journey and save a new world.

Features

I would like to introduce the DS データサービス

There is a feature in the game that allows players to take the DS file from other OSD games and import them into this game. This allows players to gain a additional instant level up per DS file. DS files can only be added once btw ;)
Also when adding DS files the games that they came from will be added to Dennis's Service Record.

Most older games will be updated with the Data Service patch(not really a patch) and will offer the player to export the games DS file.

Chocobo Riding
Chocobo Riding on world map

Boat battles
Boat RPG battles like the ones in Oceanspirit Dennis: Pirates on the Poopdeck!

SuperBoss
There will be an optional Superboss. Once you are able to explore the ocean there will will be a area that gives you the option to enter a check out the water or keep moving. The SuperBoss will be Penix Weapon, It's HP will most likely be at 1,000 or higher depending on how high the players HP can get at max level.

Spirit Grid

All the other blocks are hidden as I stated before. You must use the SGp to unlock new blocks. Also I am changing it to where you gain +1 SGp  per battle instead of per attack dealt.

List of update games
-No games have been updated yet

this is great.
art level: I love the background so much (the mountain view) :)

and oh.. I think the character with the purple speech is having a boner...

Thanks. However I can't take credit for the Mt view as I just added it there as a texture. I did in fact edit it to make it fit with the stuff I did.

And wow I just noticed that! o.O I guess I can fix that or maybe I might leave for the fun of it :D

Ghost

That DS feature sounds interesting- may I suggest you take it to the next level by checking maw many different files have been imported, and unlocking something in the game depending on that? Getting an extra level is nice (in RPG terms), but why not, I don`t know, have a small gallery or a kinky fun weapon that you only get when...

That sounds nice and I can do that. You get to venture out on a big world map anyways.

Example.

Get the blades of passion DS and Hansel will be included some how in this game.

Snake

Actually, if you follow through with this and it is a fully completed playable game, it'll actually be your first OSD game :P

Please explain further what a DS is? And further explain how you are implementing this. Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't understand how you can implement something where the player is able to use something from "Blades of Passion" and unlock something from this game. Please explain this to me.

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but, what the hell happened to Pub Master Quest: Legends? I was thinking you were actually going to finish that one. Shall I lock the topic?

Snake, I believe

DS_Store (Desktop Services Store) is a hidden file created by Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X operating ... Although these files were primarily used by the Finder.....

@snake: Trust I am no matter what I am doing always working on a little bit of PMQ: Legends every now and then.

Here is how the Data Service system works.

In this game.
Spoiler
Dennis will be a soldier for the first half of the game as he is now apart of the Ocean Strikers.

With this comes the Service Record to show things like how many enemies you have slain, etc...

There is a part in on the Records that's my Previous Data. This list will contain all the Data service files from other OSD games.

If you play the patched version of OSD:OCD[By Monkey] then you can save the games DS file to your HDD. Then you would take that file and place it in the folder that contains this game.

In the Config menu there will be a DS logo in there. By clicking this you will have the game scan and register the DS file and store it in your game save.

The DS file is now permanently attached to your Service Record. You will now receive your 1 instant lvl up.

It's a bit similar to the way DLC will work in PMQ however this is totally free.

That background from the screenshots looks really cool. (and I like the one from the critic's lounge too :))
Good luck with the game!

You do realize that one of your screens is a menu screen (doesn't count as 1 of the 2 needed) and the other two are the same screenshot?  How hard is it to follow simple rules?

You know what?  Just do whatever you want.  No matter the rules or the [endless] advice/council you've been given you've proven time and again you're not going to heed it and just do it your own way.

Just know when it gets out of hand this thread will be locked.

Icey

You do realize that the rules state that there must be at least two in game screenshots however it never said it matter what room it was taking in. I am aware that there are two shots taken in the same room however they are both taken at different times. I included the menu shot because it was cool looking to me. I will update it possibly today if I can however if you don't want anyone to post screenshots of the same room then you should really say that. Cause as far as I see it I did follow the rules.

QuoteIf you aren't far enough to be able to take different screenshots, don't post yet!  We know some of you don't want to show too much of the game, but two screenies isn't too much to ask!  Please note that splash screens and options/menu screens don't count as 1 of the 2.  They must be actual screenshots of 2 (or more) different backgrounds.
read it again xD

Ughh... few minutes after I posted this I realized how stupid and rude this post is. I am sorry to everyone in forum(Darth Mandarb, and StudioXIII, and everyone else) - if i could delete this post I would but i don't know how.

@Bogdan: Ahh yes, I forgot to include my point on that part. I am up to currently 18 rooms. I am far enough to include 1 of those rooms.

Also I didn't find that rude at all.

@Snarky: If that is true then I will take this chance and make sure this doesn't get out of hand. Cause he could have locked it.
