Looking good, I like your style, and the background scenes look splendid!
Sounds like a great game-to-be! ;)

Only thing that bothers me, though probably shouldn't, is that there's a strong black outline around the main character in the promo pic, so he doesn't fit in exactly. The 3d model looks great though! :)

Paranoia: Thanks. I am actually progressing quite nicely at the moment. I might soon be placing my newly rendered scenes in AGS.  ;)

GinnyW: I thank thee also. As for the black lines, if thou look a the scene, thou shall notice, that the boxes alos have outlines. They are there to add "cartoonlikenes" into the renders.

Um, Big bro, if you noticed the dates of the posts, it wasn't needless, how else would anyone know he updated the main post.

Hippie, I'm just d/l the movie, backgrounds look pretty good

Edit: That movie is excellent, very impressive, look forward to it.

I guess you will have 3D cutscenes.

I'll have to go back and play the original version

keep up the good work

big brother: As Timosity said, I don't update this thread very often, so it was necessary to bring this to the top.  Before my update this was somwhere page 4 or so.

Timosity: Thanks. yes indeed, all the in game cutscenes will be high res 3D video.  I just need to decide will I be using divX video or somethin else. Any toughts on that subject? what video format works best with AGS?

Timosity

I'd suggest doing a search on the site on avi, codecs or video or something, I'm not sure on the best codecs to use for movies in AGS, but I'm sure it's been discussed a fair bit before.

I know that if you use divX, which is great compression, to view it through AGS, the user must have the codecs installed, which goes for any codecs I'm pretty sure, but uncompressed, the files would be huge as i'm sure you know.

Just try a search and see what you come up with, hope it helps.
