And so the remaking begins:

I've gone down the 3D route as it means:

-I dont have to worry about perspective lines and all that (not that I used em much anyway)
-I dont have to find REAL Draw and get into it again.
-I can make nice pictures with lovely features such as displacement maps etc (you may notice one on the key board)

(You may notice that the screen on the laptop is a screenshot of IE looking at a screen of 7 Days A Skeptic)

Nice, very nice.
At the moment I'm busy with tunes for Bob Goes Home Deluxe, but when you've made progress I'd like to compose some dark jazzy tunes (ala Grim Fandango, Peter McConnell is a genius!) for your game.

Really sorry to hear about that you lost everything in the computer format.

If it's any encouragement, the new screenie looks promising. And don't be afraid to try out new ideas. Keep it going man!

Thanks for your comments, and I'd love that music offer.  I'll probs get a playable few levels done and send them to anyone wishing to do the music.  To gauge the mood.
The characters may be 3D or 2D cel shaded.  I've had nil experience modelling characters in 3D so I may go the traditional route >_<

Just keep at it, and there are benefits from redoing it from scratch. Overcome the initial frustration and just keep bursting foward  :D Glad to see you're taking such an optimistic front despite what happened. You're an inspiration to others  :=

I'm not too bothered as the majority of The Darksiders time was spent devising the puzzles and story.  And those are safely printed off.  I actually enjoy doing backgrounds and I enjoy trying out new methods even more.

Looks awsome, will look forward to it :)
If you had nothing left, would you risk it all to change everything?

Undead Idalo

Needs some smoothing on the arms but apart from that I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm going to add a gradient to the base so he sorta fades away.  As soon as I figure out how:P
