I vaguelly recall seeing one of those slug things in the critics forum and wondering what on earth an adventure featuring one of them would be like. And now I know. It will look incredibly cutesy.

Part of me is somewhat disappointed to see there is no disgusting slime trail left behind when they slither, but perhaps that's because I'm somewhat disturbed like that.

Other than that, a stunning looking game.

I'm thrilled this is back, and it looks even better than last time. The backgrounds look pixel perfect and the characters are so cute!

The backgrounds have a nice amount of detail but not so much that they overshadow the sprites, which is a good thing.  I particularly like how the backgrounds you've shown don't look like empty throw-away rooms.  The library alone looks like it will be interesting to make hotspots for ^_^.

Hehe, believe me, I'm too lazy to make backgrounds for rooms that don't do anything! ;)  I've made a conscious effort to make things as tight as possible, as I personally prefer a smaller number of packed rooms over numerous empty rooms, as well as being a believer in reusing inventory items.

Speaking of backgrounds, I'm nearly finished another one, which means almost all the locations for the first half of the game are done.  Not entirely done, mind you--hotspots and objects and things like that haven't been mapped yet... not to mention character animations and interactions... but it's sloooowly getting there :)
