Grrrrreetings frrrrom Gerrrmany!   ;D
I want to create a "realistic" horror adventure game with AGS, so I need to make characters using photographs. Could anyone tell me how to create the animation-images for the character without photographing hundreds of different positions of the actors?

(Although my english is not the best I hope you will understand my question well and be able to help me)

Thank you,

If you have the ability to capture video on your computer I would suggest doing it this way:

Capture video of the actor on a treadmill and then import it into the computer.Ã,  Break it down frame by frame and just delete all the unnecessary frames (if you capture at 30p you'll have about 50 or so frames that you can safely crop out).

If you can get a blue/green screen backdrop it'll save you sooo much time too (cropping out the backgrounds)

Other than that you'll have to just snap a lot of photos and tweak them to get them to properly line up ... which is a major hassle.Ã,  (I had a project once where I needed just this type of thing and I took lots of photos before coming up with the camera idea!)

Good luck with it!

Oh and your English is fine, and welcome the AGS forums.

Thank you for your support!
Unfortunately, I do not possess any camcorder, but my digital (photo-)camera has the function of taking series of photographs at intervals of one second...

Defnitely use that, and just walk really slowly in place, on a treadmill if you have one, while the camera is shooting one second apart. Do more than one cycle, so that you can find "missing" frames from the first cycle...that is, frames that could fill in holes in the walking cycle you capture. :P
Status: Trying to come up with some ideas...

If you can find it, use "chroma key green".
