OK I know this is not technical and strictly speaking soes not belong here. But it is a place where you may ask and you are used to dealing with beginners.

I know this question ranks below idiot-level, but I am very new at this. I have read the postings about completed games games must be in the completed games forum etc. and I understand that. My question is how to post. Once you have finished a game, built the exe and setup, HOW  do you post it to the applicable message board? Click on start a new topic and then?

What you do is this

- in AGS, build the game (F7).
- in the game's Compiled folder you'll find gamename.exe, winsetup.exe and acsetup.cfg and any additional file (e.g. speech.vox, music.vox, etc.).
- if you want, add a readme file.
- now copy the Compiled folder somewhere else, rename it to the name of your game,
- then zip it: either use a program like WinRAR or WinZip; alternatively, right-click the folder, select SendTo -> Compressed (zipped) folder
- upload the resulting file to one of the hundreds of free file hosting services.
- post the link you'll get after the upload in a new topic, together with a description of the game and preferably a few screenshots (generate them in-game by pressing F12 and upload them to an image hosting service).

Note that this process is basically the same for every other user-generated content or message board; you have to upload any file(s) you want to offer for download to a place in the internet, aka server.
