conversations - coloured box appears

I'm not sure if this should go in here or the advanced, but it seems pretty simple. (and I'll bet the answer is completely simple. XD)

Right, well, I'm quite new to scripting and I've obviously just mucked up somewhere, but.. when the player gets to choose what to say in conversations, an odd text-coloured box appears underneath all the choices

Does anybody know why this happens?
It seems to be happening in all my rooms in all my conversations, and clicking it does nothing.

There's an option in the dialog pane that says "show text parser with options" or something similar. Uncheck that and you're good. It's meant to give players the ability to enter any word as an additional dialog option.
