iv have gone through everything i can think of and searched for past conversations with it in, i didnt want to make another post so soon after asking today allready, but here goes:

how do i get rid of hotspots once placed

                its ruining my game

                 ???

Ashen

On the 'Areas' window, with the 'Draw Line', 'Draw Freehand', 'Fill Area' and 'Undo' buttons is one with a green blob and a red X, which removes a colour from the map.
If you only want to remove part of a hotspot/walk-behind/walkable area/region, fill that bit in with an unused coulour, then use the 'Wipe Colour' button. Or, fill it with 'hotspot/walk-behind/walkable area/region 0', which has the same effect.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

thanks, right under my nose, how do i make a door open, like on monkey island?

TerranRich

Make the door an animation, then animate it. Simple as that. :)

Or you could use Hotspot 0; the black one and use it to delete anything you don't want if you don't want to do the whole thing over again. ;)
Moving at superhigh speed getting to the planet called Earth. But it is boxed in white......thing.....

edwin, ashen already suggested that.

but to add to the animating question, make your sprite an object, and animate that, or turn object on or off (so you would have a normal background with the door there closed, but your object you would turn on would be a graphic on top of it to make it look like the door was open)
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

nice one, thanks everyone. i was going to do it by having to go to a different room with the door open in the background,

                        its all coming together nicely

TerranRich

Perhaps you should read the manual thoroughly before startng your game. It clearly describes objects, anmation, etc.
