Hi all i was wandering what would the best image size be for a Character sprite in a 1024x768 res 32 bit color
game.
as i would like to do a detailed game like that of monkey island 3.

ive my scene in 1024x768.
just using the default Character and he looks like a ant compared to my scene

all help is much appreciated

cheers in advance

Draw a room with a door. The size you're looking for is 90% of the door height.
Asked and answered multiple times, and isn't a technical question.

ok thank you for that.

just one more thing. don't know if any one as tryed this.
or if its even possible

but i would like to make a Character using photo's and taking the still images of my self againts the right color back ground that would be transparent in ags. and then posing for each movement action.

any thoughts?

This is usually done using a green screen, but I guess any color is fine as long as you're not wearing it.
You won't be able to import the result directly into AGS, but you can open it in Photoshop and using the magic wand and a suitable tolerance value, you can replace all the wall parts in the photo with a single color.
And then, yes, AGS will turn that transparent.
