No, it is not possible to do any thing while a movie is being played at the moment.
You only route is to add them on the FLV files.

Also, as Flic is a 8-bit lossless format, text should not be blurred on it, unless the programme you used to make the files does that.

ok.but i see The Dig game.that in the introduction you can select text subtitle game.and with selection .here play flc with text font.do you see The Dig game?

You can't display a menu while a video is playing.
But you can have an animated room by adding more background pictures (Background to Dispay |  Import New Background)

Yes, I know. But The Dig was not made with AGS and there is no easy way to do this in AGS, yet. (Also, I think The Dig didn't use FLC as its movie format.)

Would a full screen animation really slow down the game?

Mehrdad

Dig was 256 colour, but  as far as I remember its movies used a lossy format, so it's not FLC.

Mehrdad

The Dig, as well as later SCUMM games like Full Throttle and Curse of Monkey Island, uses LucasArts own proprietary movie format called SMUSH (with the file extension .SAN). The ScummVM Tools contains a program that lets you compress .SAN files yourself - though you probably wouldn't have much use for them.

Just in case that slipped by you: you can not use those .SAN files in AGS.
