Music contest: November 30 - December 08

The last contest had no regular winner, but some people said that I should start the next one. So I hope this is okay for everyone.

This week's theme is rhythm:
Create a piece of music only using percussive sounds. This means drums, sampled noise etc. Avoid melodic instruments and don't use chords, only rhythm. But you should still try to give it a certain mood and some development, not just one loop all the time.

I hope for many entries, as the rules should also allow "non-musicians" to enter the contest this time.

I am not at all a musician, but I tried this one. It is the first time ever I tried to make music, so don't expect too much. It's just 30 seconds.

Pretty cool contest. Always been too lazy to do some proper drum-programming, now I realized how much fun it is.
Here's mine:

I tried to encode it at a lower bitrate, but some of the drums, especially the HiHats just souned TOO crappy, so I just post the larger mp3.

Nope. Can give you all the samples I used. There's a Reverse-Reverb and one swell, that might be illegal. But I thought that the reverse-reverb is just an effect put on percussion and the swell was build with chaotica and I woud count it as sampled noise. Anyway. I could replace it with somethig different, if I'm asked to.

No need to replace anything, as there's no melody in your track. Sampled noise and effects are okay, as long as they are not used as melody or chords.

Sure, just nod your head on beats 1 and the 'and' of 3. Then you can headbang at a steady pace without getting off beat.

EDIT: Actually if I were to headbang in 5/4 I'd nod on beats 1 and 4. Oh yeah.
