27 votes so far. Meh, I'll close voting this coming Sunday, votes or no votes.

Darth Mandarb

Great job everybody!  I played them all, and voted.

I'm really suprised that so many were able to accomplish this.  Perhaps the next ATC should be called, "The 10, 1 room 8, 1 week competition" Maybe then more of us would have finished :)

Good job guys, color me impressed!

He-Man

I didn't think that the votes we made for our own games would count (I guess that made sense at that time), so I votes 5 for everything in my game. So AGA, if it is possible please don't count my vote in for my own game, because I feel like a wanker now, after reading that we were supposed to be fair...

I think maybe he means "The ten (one) room eight (one) week competition". Read it without the parentheses or with the parentheses and not the word immediately before, as it is customary to read sentences of this structure.

And I disagree, smiley or no smiley.

Great job everyone, I played and tried to vote fairly for all the games. I hope more people will do so before Sunday.

Maybe Darth's 1:s are meant to be read out as exlamation marks? I dunno.

This was indeed a great concept for a competition, although I would regard it more as an activity than a competition - the fact that many people have used far more than a week to create material for their games makes it a bit unfair. But hey, it's only for fun anyway :)

The outcome is impressive, nevertheless. Especially Automation swept me off the floor - it's the perfect shortgame in my opinion.
Good work, anonymous creators!

They have?

Well, the rules allow them to use pre-made material....such as already drawn backgrounds etc.
I took for granted that some people did that, to varying extent. Especially after having looked at some of the games.

AGA

Well. I was going to award individual winners for every category, then one for the overall highest score. But Automation won every category. So, congratulations, Eric "Mr Colossal" Feurstein, you are a winner! (bet no-one guess it was him who made it, eh...).

The entries were:

The Bar by He-Man
Duke Stanley: National Hero IN The 30 Minute War by DontTreadOnMe
Caverns by Helm
Space Quest: Planet of the Incredible Menace by Pesty
Saturday School by netmonkey
Criminalist by _RyRayer_
Automation by MrColossal
The Lion's Den by AGA
The Story of the Alien That Crashed by Chicky
Gaby King  by Steve McCrea
The Elevator by Barbarian

Wooty Woot!

Thank you people who voted for me though I'm mostly over joyed that so many people took part.

Hooray for us!

A well deserved "Congratulations" goes out to MrColossal.
Really, I thought your game was terrific and suspected it would win  :=

And, to everyone else who entered, great job. I seen a lot of good talent and interesting ideas. Keep up the good work everyone. *Salutes*

Yup, awesome game. Nice work!
Now get back to Time Out, you slacker!

I also liked the sound and "music" in the Elevator - very creepy.
Saturday School shows a lot of promise - I'm looking forward to playing that when it's finished.

Hooray indeed!

Congrats Mr. C!  It was a well deserved win.  All the entries were worth playing, but your game was just one step ahead of the rest!  Excellent.

As for my 10 1 week bit ... I was attempting to make a joke.  Apparently it didn't work.

It seemed funny to me that so many entries were submitted for a competition that had FAR less time to complete!

Anyway ... congrats again to Mr. Colossal.

I only just noticed this thread and thought "sounds good, might see what these games are like."

I went through the whole thread a few times trying to find where to download them

eventually I found it.

but until then get the games here.

but I actually found it by editting the voting url before I found it in the thread

I also tried the search function using the games names but it just lead me back to this thread

maybe making it bold or adding it to the first post would make it easier to find, just a bit of friendly advise to help people who missed it enjoy the games.

Sorry I missed it and am too late to vote, and cause i had to read the whole thread now I know who made what, but oh well, my own fault for not being very active around here these days

please update caugnat ;)

Loved your game, Mr. C! I especially liked how much exra animation you did (moving the cannisters, etc.) and your incorporation of the kick command (good for a few interactions).

I did find a bug when I was playing however... If you get a chance, you might want to fix it.
Spoiler
If you don't kick the drain away to open the downstairs door with the broom (it's easy to miss) and operate the magnet instead, the game crashes with an error message about a missing view.

MrColossal, your game ruled. All the other entries were great too, a wonderful competition. Big thanks AGA! Are you going to release the actual results just so we can see where we could pick things up? I plan on realeasing a real version within the next mont (im expecting a new computor any day now, then this one will be moved along with all the files into another room, and then we have to get wireless LAN before its reconected to the internet)

We could all guess who made Automation, i also found a bug however
Spoiler
after you get the robot back in the canister i think i must have tried picking up the vacume tube again or something, but the view reverted back to the normal view and it refused to let me use the door back into the lab and didnt run the end sequence. I ended up restarting and doing it all again

Still a great game though

Great comp, many thanks - Rich
Seeing as I really shouldn't have to get up at such an ungodly hour as 7am, ill put my watch forward by 5 hours to make me feel better...

AGA

I'll PM the people who want to know their results soon.
