Aw, that's a bug  :(

You'll need the new version I'm going to post in a second. Really sorry for that... you'll need to start over. Anyway, thanks for spotting that bug and notifying me.

/EDIT: Version 1.0 is up. The "deluxe version" isn't yet, but will be soon.

Major update as I plan to enter this in a contest. Updates including an interface revision, an actually working help screen, a very very minor bit of chat interactiveness, and so on. Excitement!

Here's the version with music (formerly "deluxe")

Aaand

Here's the version without music (now "light", formerly the normal version)

Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. C'mon, folks!

Ah, finally able to finish it. Very entertaining and very original. A couple of comments though:

1) The dropdown list of IP-adresses is great (thank you very much for adding it), but it would be even more awesome if it was actually clickable. It won't be more than a few lines of code to parse the text of the selected listbox item to the textbox (after cropping everything after the space) and it would really add to the usability.

2) It would also be excellent, if the Telnet box could be closed by pressing ESC or just clicking OK without entering anything.

3)

I thought the final encryption puzzle was great, but please, please, please allow us to view the encrypted txt while inside the T++ editor. It really sucks to have to write down all those numbers on a piece of paper first (perhaps even getting it wrong).

I wish you the best of luck in the contest!

That was quite enjoyable. It was very tempting to just dump the executable/data files with "strings" and just grab random IPs, but I managed to restrain myself. I liked the LAN minigame - it could be quite fun on its own given a bit of randomly-generated goodness. Anxiously awaiting part 2 :P

I ended up writing a Python script to solve the end puzzle. Of course, you still have to type in the coded message from the screen :(

Hm... with the audience a game like that will likely attract, should I probably have expected that?  :=

Anyway, glad you liked it  :)
