Okay, I finished the game. Although it was too short :), I enjoyed it a lot.

There are two things though that I did not like, and I shall tell that frankly.

First, is music, which was too repetitive and "casual" in my opinion. I was greatly hoping that there will be more varied tracks towards the end of the game, but even if there were some, I did not notice a change.

Secondly, the storytelling part of game was rather confusing. I felt like totally distracted from the "humans" storyline while totally emerged in the robots storyline. Hence, at the end I found myself being absolutely indifferent towards the factory intrigue.

Congrats on another game out the door! I nabbed it the first day, but have not been able to play yet due to a fatal error when I try opening it after install.

I get this message:

Code: ags
"An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0x7DF4C0E2; program pointer is -199, ACI version 3.12.1074, gtags (0,0)"

Full Disclosure: I am running this in Wine on Ubuntu 10.04 (which I know is not officially supported), but I have no clue what that message means, so want to rule out "not running Puzzle Bots in Windows" if I possibly can.

EDIT: After trying a few other games that I ran and played just fine a few days ago, I am getting the same message, so it is not Puzzle Bots itself. I guess the thing to do would be to reinstall Wine and hope that resets any settings I may have interfered with.

Sorry to hear that Disco, although I'm glad to know it wasn't Puzzle Bots's fault!

9 out of 10 rodents?  Awesome. :)

And Jay Is Games likes it too! "[Puzzle Bots] is a game for people who like fun things"

Congrats on the game being finished. It's a shame I can't play it as I lack my own computer at this time and the one I borrow uses Linux - and WINE is being a pain right now, so...

Hey guys!

I recently emerged from my game development cave to talk to Bytejacker about the game. Check out the episode! We had soooo much fun making it. :)

Also relevant: the episode gives you a coupon code that temporarily knocks the price of the game from $15 down to $10. If you were thinking of getting the game, now's a good time!

(And thanks to everyone for the robot love, I've been following this thread since the get-go. :))

Hey, my CD has made it half around the globe. Nice printed, i like it.

Thanks!  I went with a professional printing house this time around instead of just using my lil printer.

This game is worth playing just for the hilarious moment when 'nature' gets into the lab. I really enjoyed the style and the puzzles. I was going to say I'd have preferred it longer and harder, but I'm not entirely happy with the phraseology. In spite of that, it certainly felt worth the price, particularly since it's sold in pretendo foreign money.

To sum up I will try to review the game in a robot friendly manner:

Funny Dialogue + Cute Robots = Goodness

Goodness > Badness
