(whisper) Hello, this is me, Geoffkhan speaking. I'm posting this for my friend, Pijin.

-----------

My game is called ROBOTRAGEDY, and is the story of a little robot who can't go to the living room to see the show of Robotinna, a robotic singer our little buddy loves.

This is not the whole game.

Once he gets to the living room he sees on the TV that Robotinna has been kidnapped and then he goes out to rescue her.

I know the story is not original. First I was too afraid of the engine since I don't know anything of scripting but when I finished the part of going to the living room I realized the job I did wasn't too bad because I found my way around using the windows interface and most of all: imagination. I did a lot of animations and every thing Toby, the robot does, is animated -- from beaming up the objects he needs to cutting a fishing line.

So I thought, why leave the game so short when I can make it longer and better, and if with all this hard job I will make another game in one or  two years, depends of the acceptance of the first one, I decide it to go for a longer run. Both the escaping part and the rescue-the-girl-in-distress-routine are not originals, I know but when I finished the escaping part I didn't feel so strong as to let it go and make something new so I choose to blend it with the rescue part that I designed it to be the second chapter.

Enjoy!

Wow, the graphics look fantastic! Er, Geoffkahn, tell him I'm downloading now ^_-

Sztyopek

WOW! That's great!
However, I think I have found some bugs:

1. when doing something inappropriate to the cupboard,
Spoiler
the robot says the message right after freezing the battery, even if that puzzle  never has been solved yet
[close]

2. there are some objects in the starting room
Spoiler
which are visible in the UV version of the room even after the robot has taken them, such as access card, and loose wire
[close]

Nice work though, and I'm waiting to the next part of robotragedy!

I'm not finished yet but man, what an impressive game!! I love the graphics, the plot, the puzles so far are neat... excellent. One of the best things I've played in a long time.

I've noticed so far that I don't get a response when trying objects with the poison, which is so far the only glitch I've found. It's a pity the english isn't perfect (it's pretty good! But could use some cleaning up). If your friend wants any help tightening up the spelling and some grammatical errors, I'm happy to help.

There might something on top of shelf but I'm not sure.

However porch, what did do to come where you are in game?

So far I was able to get pencil, marmalade, sharp knife, book, acid with seasoning, wire on toaster and fishing string.

I do miss other things as I really know what to do.

Any help?

Potch

There's a hint thread over on the hints and tips board.  Maybe somebody over there can help you.  I'm stuck again, so I'm not much help.

want to say a few things..first its kinda hard but dont get me wrong,,like em that way..second i love how you answer when one tries to put certain things together in the inventory and they dont go together..that helps alot!! (clever responses too ;D) third..great graphics. overall fun game but at times i have no clue ??? what to do next.

Potch

Geoff, I think your friend needs to make a walkthrough ASAP.  Most of us are having a lot of trouble with this game.  I mean, the animations are fantastic, and it looks really good... but I'm so frustrated with it, that I'm about to say the heck with it and delete it.

everyone seems to be enjoying your game.  I have tried to download it 3 times.  unzip it with winrar, and then when I click on icon to start game, my computer freezes up.  I have windows xp and lots of space left.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Rosie, i have windows xp also and used IZArc to unzip this program. I have found most downloads work great thru this application. Good luck!!
here is the addy if ya want..www.izsoft.dir.bg

I agree with Potch, we need a walkthrough or the author of the game to get over to hints and tips to help us out!!

Rosie I used WinRar and had no problem. I have Windows98 though, maybe it might be worth while trying what mags_don suggested

I think there are some little bugs with talking to the make-up robot girl and the little man at the brewery: sometimes you can repeat the same conversation, and get another perfume and rope. You also can get another handful of ashes from the Ali Baba store.
The little man tells you to bring the fruit to him after you have given it to him.
At the map of Trimm Moon, the tree continues to have the fruit after the fruit already has been picked.

Henk

Sztyopek iam not so far.
what have you all done. I have found the ring and then ????

Sztyopek

Rosie,
have you tried
1. to run your game in a window instead of full screen?
2. to disable your on-access virus scanner if any?
(you also should check if the driver for your video card is properly installes)

Henk:
Spoiler
The ring is covered with sh*t, so you have to clean it with some powerful stuff.

As much as I loved this game, I just gave up a few days ago when I couldn't get any further. These puzzles are damn hard @_@ I VERY much need a walkthrough.

One thing I don't like is how, when you look at an item in your inventory, the robot doesn't tell you what the item is. I honestly have a bunch of items and I have no idea what they are.

Perhaps I'm just dumb and I've lost my adventure gaming instincts, I don't know. Otherwise, maybe a few more hints in-game would be good...

I've also had the problem many times where it seems like I should be able to use one item to get another, but it just says I can't. I think a bit more of an explanation as to why you can't is needed because it's quite frustrating.

All that aside, I was still VERY impressed with the game.

Henk:
Spoiler
the acid will do it, but you might have to use a different recipient for washing.
Something not too valuable, you know, acid is corrosive.

btw there is another bug I found: in Robottina's make-up room there is something
(on the desk, as I remember) what responds to some interaction with the answers of the chair.

Potch

Hey you guys, if you email the author, he will send you a walkthrough.  He sent me one.
