You play Agent Stick. You work for the KGB. You have been sent with one mission, and one only: Blow up a bridge.

Can you do it? Will you survive? Will you keep the honour?

Great job.  You've got an excellent game on your hands here.  I loved the ending.  Keep up the good work.
My question, though, is: will we see more from Agent Stick in the future? ;)

If I get enough people asking, there might be a Stickmen 2 + 3.

Zor, the font you're using on your website looks horrible on my web browser. As for the game itself... downloading it now.

Made them! Made them! I want more Agent Stick!!!

Horrible? Horrible? Do you not have the system font? Don't try looking for it under your list of fonts it won't appear there. type in system and it will work. what browser do you use? what windows do you have ? huh?

Sorry, got carried away

Volcan

Just downloaded it.

By seeing on the site, Agent Stick 2 and 3 are planned.

Great work Zor, if you're 13 like your profile says, even better. It was fairly easy, but still enjoyable, you seem to be cranking out these short games, good luck with them all.

Spoiler
The only things I noticed, were after you kill the guy in the gun shop, you were off a walkable area, I thought I was stuck but I could click on the door to exit the room.

also If you try to walk left on the bridge after you shoot the guy, it gives you a message but when you click off the message it keeps coming up cause you pass the left screen edge

The font you're using on that site is working very badly with the colour scheme you have. My browser is Konqueror, under Linux. And trying to run your game (via WINE) doesn't work at the default graphics mode (though this isn't something you can do much about, though).

The font looks perfectly fine under mozilla and internet explorer. Even Opera. Maybe you just don't have the right font? I donno.

Anyway, since Stickmen seems to be popular I will be making Stick 2 and maybe 3! Sorry Slax if the font looks sucky, but that's the way I like it, so deal. (sorry if that sounded rude).

And slax, what colour does the site look like to you? is the font serif or sans serif?

Sslaxx

I don't see the point in replying, but anyway... light grey on black. The problem with the font is the size my browser is rendering it at.

Ouch!

That happened when I leave the tunnel, get a pickaxe and go back to the tunnel

nope!

maybe the problem of the spooky fonts is due to the AGS engine???

I don't experiment any problems with the website.

Errrrr....

Anyway, about the guy going off the walkable area when he kills the shopkeeper, the fact is he is on a walkable area. The game somehow freezes him and I don't know how to fix it. The two room changes thing I don't plan on fixing, mainly because I am lazy and it might be hard. The rest of the bugs expect to see rectified in Ver.2.3!

Good day to you, fellow AGSsers

::EDIT::
BTW, I just finished designing the game plan for Stickmen 2: Escape from Base Camp.

Squinky

How would fixing that error be hard? You should stop and take the time to learn how to fix it, so you'll have the knowledge for your future games...

Phemar

nope!

if you have no idea, why don't you try to move your character near to the gun? (scripted action: MoveCharacter...)
and see if you character is still stuck (now, you're in the middle of a walkable area, nope?)

...............

I try to make my first game.

when something turns bad, I try to identify when/where/how the problems occurs.

the character could walk after using the "bip" on the guy? could he walk after killing the guy? step by step, you can discover which event/command freezes stickman.

Rui 'Trovatore' Pires

Or, if you really want no bother, just add this in the room's repeatedly_execute -

if (GetWalkableAreaAt(player.x,player.y)<=0) MoveToWalkableArea(GetPlayerCharacter());

Reach for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Kneel. Now.

I think I probably could. But there was a time that I couldn't fix little niggles like that, and the only way to learn is by doing.

The first thing you need to do is isolate the problem, which is easy for you because it tells you which line of code it is. So, I'd taka look at that, try some things (maybe some of the other sugestions posted above) and then if I couldn't figure that out, post on the tech forum.

I could take a look at the script for you also if you aren't having any luck...

I just want to say though, I meant no offense to you. I just wanted to encourage you to become a better programmer.

Phemar

I'm fine, really guys. Thanks for all your help but I'm sure I can fix. I'm learning Java at the moment which is also really helping with ags scripting. That is why you should expect alot more from  Stick 2 than Stick 1.

Thanks for all your help!
