Please, take a look to this char:

He is supposed to be: The good guy of some kind of teenagers films (Typical story in some sort of Grease, with a graduation high school dance and all that...)

I am specially unhappy about the side view, the face... feel free to download the image, resize  and retouch...

Edit: I know I told many people by PM to make something with them... don´t worry... I´m just trying things, I am not betraying nobody ^_^

Nice work, i like your drawings.  He looks like fry from futurama in a way  :P

Yeh , it looks like it could be out of Grease of something, plus the shoes are nice ^_^

JD

very cool! only crit I have, like I said on irc, the hands look a bit funny :) and the expression
on his face, it looks like he's amazed. like this:  :o

Privateer Puddin'

wow

the only problem is the back view, with the black green and white nearly lining up imo, looks a bit silly

ravenfusion

Wow, that is very Sam & Max looking...I like nearly everthing about it, and the hands are supposed to look like that (I think they had long hands in sam & max hit the road). You can see the effort you've put in and it looks great for whatever purpose you have for it, hopefully a game though. :P

Good work Farlander! You deserve a white thing:

Well, I tried an edit. The hands still arnt right though.

Edit: Thats weird, anonymizer doesnt seem to be working... Well here is the url for it... http://www.geocities.com/lobsterswithlasers2/snm.gif

it kinda reminds me of the style my friend; Rob draws in...

But that's irreleavant. I really love the character, my only crit would be that his hands are bigger in the side view than on the back and front...his neck could also be a pixel or so thinner and the shoulders pushed more forward into a more casual poition.

Here are some modifications... I am happier about the back view, about the hands, and specially, about the side view... If you compare it, you can see that his head has been moved to the right.

About the "shocked face" i don´t know how to fix it... If I use more pixels for the eyes, it looks weird.

Farlander, first off, I really like the character. Really great stuff. Second, I think it's the squareness at the corners of the eyes that is throwing people off.

I hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd post a retouch that changed the corners of his eyes:

I really do like the character as is, but I can see where some people might interpret the style of the eyes as a surprised look.

Nacho

Don´t worry about retouching original sprites, if your comments are constructive and kind, your criticism will become really apreciated, trust me.

I really like the modifications... similar to what Evil did, but with the edge, which makes it more suitable IMO.

thanks, Penguinx.

Ahhh - I didn't notice evil had pretty much covered the bases on this one. Really similar retouch.

The character really has some life and personality to it. I like that you're not afraid to make his forward facing pose asymetrical. It's more visually interesting in this instance than something halved-down-the-middle and mirrored.
