Okay, I need C&C on this monster thing.Ã,  I uploaded it so that you can see the steps I took to draw it.Ã,  I think it looks unfinished, or overdone or something.Ã,  Tell me where I went wrong or C&C please!

when i was young i spent weeks creatin armies of monsters.....so heres my advice..they are over done if it is alright with you could i copy them and edit them to show you how to make them look better.it looks like you have gone 4 a bug theme.

When I look at a character, I look at their eyes. Your design looks great until the 6th draft where you've added eyes that aren't quite recognisable as eyes. I find it difficult to see where they're looking.

If you altered the eyes and mouth a little, perhaps in the way mousemat has, the character would be much nicer to look at.

I like the wings.

I don't like the eyes.

If this is supposed to be an insect-like monster, you may also consider giving it more insect-like mouthparts.

The original eyes are also a bit odd. At least slanting them in the opposite way would be better and more aggressive-looking. Or try more insect-looking eyes like Angelos's edit (again, possibly slanting them toward the middle of the face).

The wings, IMO, are just too busy in their color pattern. It's hard to tell what those brighter green parts are at a glance, taking your focus away from more important parts.

I redid the monster.Ã,  You are correct in that it is an insect creature.

-Changed mouth
-Changed eyes
-Recoloured wings


Any more suggestions?
