Hi. I am just wondering because I already put this same message to the topic of offering service and there have been only couple contacts yet both were cancelled, but I feel that my topic will be buried along with all others...

So... this time I don't say I am offering but I am wanting a new project to compose music for. Are there anyone in need of soundtrack, or perhaps just something ad or little jingle of tune to make?

I am serious musician and offering my service for free, and I have no cheap software to do it. I have my own little home studio with some rare and extraordinary hardware equipment. I am also not just musician... I am also very much interested of sounds itself too... meaning that I am also sound programmer / sound editor / sound designer / sound effects maker / Ambient sound recorder / Sound experiementing or just about anything audio related!!! Let me know if someone needs my help.

when making music, for example, game soundtrack, I really want to go deep into game and even beyond that, so I could bring your project into best possible result.

I am also very emotional person so are my music too! I can create anything atmospheric music you can't even start to imagine... I always put the emotions and atmosphere of the music first.  The sounds itself does matter for me more than all theoretical stuff of the music. It's very important to keep music as humaness as possible, without computers, so in that way I can have more special human touch to my music... it makes really a huge difference!

I am so called spontaneous musician which means I do mainly everything in live... making music instantly and not exactly writing it... besides I cannot read notes  ;D

You can contact me directly with PM or e-mail. I have msn messenger too which I think would be much better since we could discuss in realtime. I can also demonstrate my music by improvising it in realtime through messenger!

Anyway to show how serious I am about making music, just take a look of my own modest gear setup:

and if you wonder what I have done so far.... not much... it's just that i do not have anything special to make, so mainly I have done just some abstract and lazy stuff. I really would like to make something better and I have much more potential but I need something special project to go deep to.

Here's my all songs which I bothered to record:

And I am sure that not so many of musicians here have same quality gear at their fingertips...   ;)

One thing that I would like to see happen with films is for music not to be treated as just one more ingredient, but as an integral and fundamental part, due to its fatal capacity to affect the mood of the movie.

this is an awesome livingroom, i wanna sit in this chair and fumble around as it would be a spaceship cockpit!
unfortunately my project isnt far enough to deserve sounds of any kind but i note your email/msn down and if im in need of a musician, ill maybe contact you.

most of your work sounds like some sort of electronical-outer space-meditation-music (but good though), are you able to produce music which actually sounds like its made with common instruments (guitar, piano, fiddle..) ?

Sure I am able... I have everything you can imagine. It's just that I want to go beyond any ordinary instrument so piano and guitar are not valid for that reason... but I have also very realistic piano sounds and I like to play piano songs too.

Wow, awesome setup. I only have one little Casio HT-700 :( But I love it bits. Just one question - It seems you only have one speaker? Surely that's quite a detriment when trying to mix in stereo.

Dualnames

As I said personally, I really like the songs, they really have a certain attention to detail..
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

LOL!   ;D

Really... of course I have stereo speakers! The right speaker just didn't fit to the picture of my mobile. Besides there is thousands of cds and my other personal stuff, so of course I didn't bother to take another picture just because of the speaker...

Besides, if you didn't notice about my first picture, I have also great sub-woofer on the floor, that big black box   ;)

oh, wow... you have the secret weapon from Casio! Awesome man!  You see my white keyboard with 3 wheels? That's Hohner HS-2 but in fact it's just brand clone just with different colors and is really Casio VZ-1, the last serious professional keyboard they ever made! The HT-series have also pretty amazing digital synthesis engine and is also related to mine VZ synthesizer.

Maybe an off-topic question, but....
Do you make a living from being a musician, or is it just your hobby?
If it is, I have to say that I adore people like you, having taken the complexity and technicality of all serious music-making stuff. Despite I love it, it always gives me shivers when I approach a synth and have no idea what all the knobs and sliders are about.

No, I am just free-time hobbyist, but that does not mean I wouldn't make music seriously. I am pretty sure that I am never able to earn that much from making music... just because I dislike boring commercial stuff and commercial stuff is made to make money so obviously I would lose this competition  ;)

The problem is that in commercial music, they always need to repeat previous experience (recall, HITS) and never going foward... why should leave something which brings your living... it's safer you know? That way also leads into obvious result that we can always expect same stuff from same artists and they will never make something fresh and different... having money and being famous are the main factors of domestical music industry... which is very pity.

The art of programming synthesizers always require some self-studying, you know. It applies to every tool you can imagine... what's the point of having a tool which you are not able to use? It's all about "know-how" and own experiences are very important. I can give you some help if you really own some synthesizer but remember, "There is always things which you cannot ever learn as much as there is always things that you cannot ever teach".

;)

Hi. Bumping this topic for great news:

I finally finished in-game trailer for my current game soundtrack project and althought it is in fact my very first work to this soundtrack, is seems already very promising! The trailer was originally without any audiotrack, so basically I did everything you can hear! From sound effects and ambience to music... simply everything.   8)

Please share your humble opinions about it. I need some feedback as it is the "first touch" into this project.

You're Brian Eno, right? I just wanted to ask you how much did you spend on your set. You seem very confident and pleased about your set, from the posts you made earlier :D

So wait is this a trailer or an actual gameplay but used for a trailer?
Very 80s sci-fi (which I personally like), but (since I didn't play the original I might be mistaken) I think it sounds a bit too serious. Plus more of a "I'm on a strange alien ship" rather than "I'm going to an alien ship since the world is ending". Still it sounds good, but kind of out of place....in my honest humble opinion.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Whoa, that's alot of keyboards... do you really need more than one ???

I absolutely love the music though.   :) :) :)
If I have a project I need music for, I'll have this thread bookmarked.

The HHGTTG music is very effetcive and atmospheric, but I was rather hoping to here a revamped version of the original theme at some point there.

The music / soundscapes in the original* radio series were full of character, any chance of the theme being revisited?

* well not the original broadcast, but the re-recording that you can buy in shops.

Not really Ali.  :'(

Just kidding  ;), of course it will be, I wouldn't leave it out for all the gold. This is just a random thing me and ptpt88 (Analog Guy) thought of. It's more of a demo on how would the music work on a scene from the game. There was the article about remakes and I was making a point about the music, without actually having any music to sample. So I took a really nice part of the game, and we put initially only the sound effects and then we added some music.

I know the result ends up quite serious, but it was nevertheless intended. It's the end of the world damnit!

I need as many sound sources as possible because I mainly improvise music instantly live... and so my gear is required to make it possible.
