Here's another vote for number 6!

And I suppose I don't have to tell you how great this character is gonna look! Fantastic design ;)

When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

At first it seemed number 5 suited him most, but 6 is just so funny and memorable, I know I wouldn't forgot lord ironcrow (not that he's easy to forget after the intro in apprentice 1 ;)). 6 has this style that makes it really funny and anti-stereotyped in a Dottish way (reminds me of dott, yes). :)

I was wondering how the hairstyles would look with the body...

the first one is 6, the second is 5 and the third is my edit

Edit: ok, Pudding, now it's #6 the original

the first one is #6 but with darths changes .. prefer the original colour moustache

giving him a wig seems a bit misplaced/anachronical, but i guess that's no big problem.

in any case i'd suggest using #6 with his natural hair color instead, and maybe with more, but smaller "curls".

big brother

I agree that #6 is anachronistic, but also the most ostentatious of the bunch.

After consulting my 1864 edition of "Trachten der Volker", I came up with a few more hairstyles, variants of the whole wig idea.

Number 6 is essentially the same, with some slight shading improvements. Number 5 is the same as the old 5, but with gray temples as suggested.

Number 4 is the control group, in case a more normal hairstyle is preferred.

Pretty good!! The wig is a marvelous idea...really gives the lord character! I'd say #3 of the wigs fits best. Though I like the first wig attempt (#6) it seems a bit odd on his head...
Pantomime players are the root of all evil.

to be honest i'm not really convinced by the new wigs. they make him look more "elegant" or coquettish, while #6 is still the most ostentatious, as you said.

here's a quick shot at what i had in mind in my previous post :

Darth Mandarb

#5 would be my choice of the newest bunch.

However, since you're going for 'arrogant' and 'ostentatious' I would use either #2 or #6.  I'm still leaning towards #6.

#5 looks noble and strong, not at all ostentatious (to me at least).

Marvelous work by the way.

I still like 6 the best, but I tend to be loyal to my first decisions, even when a seemingly better idea comes along. I guess I'm just stubborn.

And in response to Eric's Post about agreeing with everything I say, I'd just like to point out that I'm one cool bastard, even cooler than Don Knotts...even if Don knotts became a vampire or something crazy like that....

Thanks for the additional feedback!

I was tinkering around with the wigs some more, agonizing over decisions when an idea hit me! What if Ironcrow is wearing a different wig each time you see him? Nothing says vain more than closet full of perukes.

This will also give me the opportunity to pay homage to the film, "Amadeus."

Talk about serendipity!

hehe just be careful about confusing the player "Wait is this still Ironcrow or is this his brother?"

"This must be a good time to live in, since Eric bothers to stay here at all"-CJ also: ACHTUNG FRANZ!

From the newest, number 2 seems quite nifty.

Agreed! Make some way of explaining this though so you don't confuse the player. Can you somehow go into his wig closet or see a bunch of wooden heads wearing his wigs?Even more eerie would be to make the wooden heads be models of Ironcrow's head! lol

Someone that evil and powerful would have to be rich and someone rich has 'clothes' for every occasion so I like the wigged-out idea very much.  ;) AND, he you could have an easter egg where you could see him bald if you steal all of his wigs while he's asleep! Or make it a puzzle! Dude, I'm getting excited! Uhm... if I get too excited though you might ask me to help and I don't have the knowledge yet..  but feel free to use any ideas here. Whoo.

I think #5 is the best, but #6 is also good (but funnier). If I was to create my own style, this would be it:

EDIT: Don't u think that in my style he looks a bit like Mel Gibson in Braveheart?

Esseb

I like the idea of changing his wig all the time, especially if as Arasan suggests you get to see his wig cabinet or similar.

I must say I prefer plastic's version of #6 to the original, and I thought about suggesting redrawing it before I read page 2 of the thread.
