So here´s a walkcycle i´ve made for my maincharacter. I haven't made the body bounce up and down yet etc. Let me know if you see anything TERRIBLY wrong with it :D

mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer

His hand could do with moving a little... That really stands out. Apart from that the main issue is the lack of 'bounce', with which it will be a pretty strong walkcycle. Better than a few I've done! :)

P.S. It is a mater of taste, but some people don't like the legs to 'kick back' that much... Though it isn't a serious problem.

Looking good! A few minor points:

- You should try moving the body up  the frame after his foot is all the way to the front; to give it that punch like markbilly said.
- if you were to colour the legs different, it look better. For instance, make the one to the back darkgrey.
- in one frame his foot goes below the 'line of walking'. To me it looks like he's punching his toe into the ground.
- that kick to the back looks odd
- The hands that furthest away could use a little more detail; it looks like he was careless with fireworks.

The main problem is that the knee of the leg in the back is much higher and isn't moving as much forward than the one in the front. That looks odd. Both legs should move similar. And I think the hands could be a bit larger. But I don't think the legs should have different colors.

The kick is a bit much, but if you lifted the knee a little and brought it forward you'd be fine. Rather than a donkey kick, it needs to be a high knee. Like, rotate the leg 30 degrees clockwise and put the bent toes right at the back of the leg.

God, I'm horrible at explaining things.

When the legs reach the furthest position forward, they don't straighten up. Thats another problem. Also, as mentioned before, the kick back is too much.

I suppose that it all comes down to how realistic you want this to be? If you fix what’s already been mentioned it will be as good as any animation I’ve seen used in 2D games but if you want to go for a more realistic look you will have to work on including some upper body movement (rotating the hips and shoulders slightly as the legs (arms) move back and forth etc).
