I'd like to point out that it's a bit strange for a black woman  to have blue irises, or a blonde to have dark eyes

Depending on heritage, a black person can have blue eyes.  Blonde with brown eyes happens all the time.

I heard there was a black couple who had a white baby (blood tested, it's his alright) one of them had white in their blood (great, great, etc).

Besides you can always wear contact lenses.

I LOVE these portraits; if you were'n't so busy I would've BEGGED you to help on my game!

please don't stop, do it in your own time (it could take more than 3 years). When it's finished all your hard work will feel that more satisfying.

Plus, you can always ask other people to help you.

I'm sorry to say that I have to give up on game-making, AGS isn't really for me.

Pish! Someone with your talent isn't allowed to say that! You just need to find a way of balancing your real life responsibilities with game making. If you'd, say, spent 2.5 hours on it instead of 5, would you have been able to do the chores? Because if so, that's where the problem lies, not time itself

Seriously, don't just give up. Accept that it'll take somewhat longer and you can only work on it when you have spare time, rather than force it in somewhere, which inevitably makes you neglect other things, which then kicks you in the head afterwards.

I have little time, but I spend 5-6 hours a week on my game. It'll get finished one of these days

I also love the character portraits. Andail's edit does clean it up a bit, but it loses the charm of the original portrait.

And I totally agree with voh, you do have a lot of talent and it's a shame to let it go to waste.
