Alright, well here are a couple things I made. I am looking for criticism. I am just trying to get better at this sort of thing!

I don' t really get it... There are some flaws from the point of view of isometric rules, but you say you are aware... Why don' t you publish your finished work in the first step? You say there are shape problems... do you want us to point them, or not?

I would also advice to do some easy things, like doing the corners in a lighter colour, like in the gif (image 6, for instance):



But I don' t want if you want this to be criticised or not... I would recommend to re-phrase your post, my friend.

Your sprite is cute. Looks like a gnome, who is pissed because he has to wear an elf costume.
If it is an elf I'd say make him a bit friendlier.
