Tell me...

Done using blender

Yes Ben Jordan

Well. They sure look a little dark but some of you might have something to comment..
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

First picture the right part: It took me a few seconds too long to figure out how perspective works. I thought the fan was mounted on the wall until I realised that this is the floor of the next room.

It's a bit too dark too see the details right. Try making it look like night by using much blue colours.

(Google for 'monkey island screenshots' for some inspiration colour wise).

I agree with Cat, the perspectiive is a bit Escheresque in the right side. And probably the left luminous circle should cast some dark red shadow around the room (like the blue lighting do), but I liked the dark atmosphere (expecially like it if I think is a a game with Ben Jordan).

Some more words for the second picture: or I fail to recognise the object(s) in th picture or maybe there is something weird in it. Are the two objects cemetery crosses? If so the inner one is casting a shadow on an object, and I cannot understand what it is.

Overall I like much more the first picture, it feels more creepy and real. I hope this will be of help to you, but mind you I'm by no means an art/background expert!

Dimitri,

Just want to say that this is 1000% hugely improved upon your previous BGs (talking about the right pic). Well done on that!

Some ideas, as far as I can give them... The floor boards should be getting thinner the further from the camera it goes. It would give a definite sense of perspective (things look smaller the further they get).

The shadow (rather the light) is a bit unrealistic, in the manner that it's just a plug-in from PS, or whatever (unless I'm mistaken), and some light escapes and goes in front of the door, which would be impossible. Sadly, I don't know how to make shadows myself, so I can't help you there.

Still it looks fine, judging from your past BGs. :) Well done!

Sylvr

This is strange. I can't see these ones either.

Have you tried adjusting the brightness on your monitor?

Nick, it really makes me happy that you liked the BG's.

Sylvr:
Well, people in the forums are complaining about photobucket. I'm gonna change to imageshack..

bicilotti:
Grazie. Devo dire che quelli tombi mi sembrano anche un'po strani. Credo che blender abbia la abilita di creare shadows. Grazie anche una volta per i suoi commenti. Spero che puoi capirmi.

JimmyShelter:
AGS for a strange reason when renderong the images increases brightness as well. So they don'tlook so dark. Try adjusting your brightness to see how it looks. Thanks for the useful comment.
