A while ago ProgZmax gave me a template to work with. I came up with this.

The hat is not right but i dont know how to improve it. Any help?

Here's a quick edit I made:

Here's my attempt:

1. Changed black outlines - they didn't look right to me.
2. Added shading, for 'depth'.
3. Changed sizes of the layers.

It's far from perfect, but hopefully it'll give you some ideas.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Naturally -  that's why I said 'attempt', I knew I couldn't better it.

Hmm...can you describe the hat?  What is it made out of, what shape is it supposed to be in, how was it made, why does he wear it?  Without knowing these answers, it is hard to tell how to improve it because I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

Heh, seeing Krazy's edit, I think you should probably see what teh Devo looks like.

This should make future edits somewhat easier.

I tried to get nearer to the photo, especially the upper sides seemed to be too edgy in the former versions. I added some lightning and shadows.

if your grandmother or any other member of your family should die whilst in the shelter, put them outside, but remember to tag them first for identification purposes

I hope you didn't take my edit seriously  ;)

No, the edges are straight, not rounded like in your edit. On the photo they look rounded because their heads are tilted slightly backwards, but if you were to see the hats straight on, you'd see straight edges for sure.

Hi,
I used intermalte's paintover to help with my shading.
