[done] Dress me evil! (hooray, slight pixel nudity)

Hey,

I'm trying to create a female antagonist and having some creative troubles.
Since posture is somewhat limited due to advanced animation lazyness, I need to rely on evil clothes. But all I come up with are pinstripes and sunglasses.

I'm currently pretty clueless, that's why she remains undressed for now ;D

Can you help her out finding some fancy evil clothes?

Mrs. Hunter is an executive in the music business, signing record deals.
It all takes place in a realistic universe.

Cheers!

What context are we working in? A 'realistic' universe? (Seeing as you mentioned sunglasses, I will assume so.) Is she a small time villain, a executive in a corrupt corporation, or just a bit of a bitch?

A bit of background info would be helpful, as the answers to all of the questions above would lead to different suggestions from me. :)

Oh yeah, this should be mentioned :)
(Seems like my description went missing after editing the post)

Hay Ab,

I've added a few images from some Disney villains:
Jaffar - Alladin
Cruella - 101 Dalmatians
dr Facilier - Princess and the Frog
Frollo - Hunchback of the Notre Dame

As you can see from these examples black is always a good base. Red or (blueish) Purple nicely complement the black, and gold/yellow can give it a much needed highlight. Of course there are many villains that don't fit this simple colour-scheme, but it's a nice basis (especially if you have only a few pixels to use).

For an exec I'd go for plain a women's suit (with a short skirt, if she's the villain/antagonist she shouldn't be afraid to use her sexuality) that shows authority but not extravagance. I know it's not common for a woman to wear a tie, but it might just suit the character (plus it can add a bit of colour). Red shoes (high heals), gold necklace and watch. When outside a dark blueish/purplish trench-coat or jacket (longer than her short skirt...makes people guessing what's below the coat). Putting her hair up enforces authority (...as does a personal assistant ;) - because she's to important to be bothered with the trivialities of business).

Lot of text for only a few pixels, but you get the idea; the goal is to enforce three ideas: 1. this woman isn't nice, 2. this woman means business, and 3. this woman is in charge.

Hope it's a little usefull at least...

EDIT:
ps. and don't forget the power for tight leather (black/blueish) pants that accentuates her figure, and creates an authority/dominatrix kind of look.

Wow, that pixel Jaffar is incredible!

Thanks for all your input, at least for Disney I get a picture how colouring bad guys work :)

High heals + golden accesoirs should fairly improve her evil outcoming, altough I don't think I can pixel a convincing haircut... let's see. But at least now I have a very good base to start with.

Thanks! :D

Less curvy figure, strong lines, now she's rather smooth. A pointy chin and nose maybe.

And I like the idea of a tie. Maybe a black jacket, short skirt and purple tie and high-heels. That would fit her slightly purple hair reflections.

I don't follow the show, but as far as I got it, try something along clothes/fashion from that "Ugly Betty" show, I think most of the women there are "bitchy" and worse but also "in style" and buisness oriented.

Yeah, what other people mentioned, hair up in a bun or something, assistant that either growels around her (if you're going for a comedic effect, that's what villian sidekicks in Disney do) or that is as strict and snobby as she is. If you're gonna push you can always go Nazi style.

btw why is the skin on her face lighter than the rest of the body?

EDIT: maybe a cigarette in her hand and her left foot probably should follow the right, so she seems to stand very upright and strict.

@Try 1:

The shoes have to fit either the clothes, the hair, the handbag or the lipstick in colour. Besides that, it looks good!

abstauber

Hehe, her face is lighter because I already had a version done and drew the nude version just to attract some viewers ;D Also I assume, powder would do the trick :)

@cat
Great idea to catch the hair colour on the clothes. I've read it just before I've updated my post :)

@anian
Nazi style like Dr. Elsa Schneider?

@cat
Lol, such a foolish mistakes ;D

I never match my shoes with the rest of clothes, simply because I only possess one pair per season ;)

I see, very well then. We all know sex sells.

Maybe not Schneider, you're not suppose to know she works for the nazis...ups, spoiler. More like Blanchett's character (I meant the attitude, maybe even the hair), but depends for what you're going, age, sexyness etc.

kaputtnik

She needs a bit more of a fake sexy pose, I'd say. Resting her hand on her hip, slightly lifting her pretty head, something like that. For future walkcycles: A somewhat awkwardly shaking villain booty is a must.

Well, and smoking is a very common habit to attach to bad guys, but I wouldn't go for it in her case. She's too much of a New Age girl for that.
I, object.

@abstauber
I'm just glad that you have more than one set of clothes per season  ;)

Alright, maybe I keep it the way it is now, although Kate Blanchett's haircut in Indy4 is awesome :)

@cat
If you would have to wear a bolero to this dress, which colour would that be? I'd assume something bright to create a contrast, but who would trust a guy with one pair of shoes*  ;)

(*one pair per task)

cat

Ok, now we are going into some hardcore style discussion.

The leggins now look very stylish and up-to-date. I'd wear them not with a bolero jacket but with a shrug. On the other hand this doesn't look very business and who knows, how long leggins will be fashionable anymore.

The sheath dress she is wearing now (yes, I checked this word on LEO  ;) ) is very stylish AND business but I'd skip the leggins.

For the bolero colour: It could be black, but that would make a lot of undistinguishable dark pixels. Or purple. But then I'd try to make the shoes purple as well. Might look great. Or she just wears the dress. A bolero is not really needed unless its cold or rainy. Then she could wear a black raincoat.

abstauber

hehe, yeah. How knows when we finally release that game ;) So maybe it's the best to stay away from too stylish trends...

and what's a shrug??  :D

Hueij

To make her look more impressive maybe you should give her shoulderpads (if that's the word...)?

cat

A shrug is some kind of leggins for the arms. It's actually just arms connected at the back. It is not very business style.
The dress is very stylish but timelessly, so don't worry about that.

Oh, and have you tried adding one pixel to the height of the heels?

Ah, thanks for clarification.

I've uploaded two more variations, one with the suggested coat, the other one with a shoulder free shrug (or  sleeves or whatever :)

cat

I like the final best. The coat merges too much with the dress.

abstauber

Okies, thanks for all your input.

Well, if nobody wants to make a paintover (which never seems to happen, when I post something here), I'd say it's time to move on.

Yay :)
