I am Polish but live in the Netherlands..

Schattenjager means Treasure hunter in Dutch.

Schatten in German, however means 'shade'

That has caused the confusion.

Schattenjager

Schattenjager is a term from the Gabriel Knight series. Supposedly it suppose to mean Shadow Hunter. And its suppose to be German. Granted its possible that there was translation errors cause this was a US based Sierra game.

Ryz

Yes, you are right Schattenjager. N3TGraph got confused with Dutch, because in Dutch it also meanssomething. In German, however, I think they also write an 'umlaut' above the a of 'jager'.

All correct anyways.

Hobbes

The game had it as Schattenjäger... so, that's true.

And in Holland it means treasurehunter, which is something else entirely... would make for a nice MI/GK crossbreed game, though. ;)

Schattenjager

As you can see I posted the front view and the front face showing a range of emotions.

I believe Pippin's left leg is a little messed up. Not sure if it's because of his knee and thigh or his shin.

I also know that Pippin's faces have some misplaced pixels which I'll clean up later.

MrColossal

i enjoy but the anatomy seems off. His right arm especially [on our left] should look more like other arm. Unless his arm is broken it shouldn't look like that, unless you're purposefully breaking the joint.

try and put your arm in that position and it [hopefully] shouldn't feel natural. maybe i'm wrong but that's some wicked hyper extension.

and we should see more of his left knee [our right] and i think that his right leg should move out a tad more to support himself [in all his pixelly weight]

make any sense?

i really like the facial expressions, there are a few stray pixels here and there but you've mentioned them already

wow, that right arm is messed up. I was trying to set up the right hand properly so that it matches the side view, so that the back of the hand is facing out to us. I did the upper half a week ago, and due to extreme laziness I copied the other side for the right arm. Working on it now, I didn't even realize that it didn't physical work.

Ah well. Back to the drawing board. At least I now know what I need to do to that leg, well legs now to. :)

n3tgraph

wow great work!!

this character is going to be great

(sorry for the confusion by the way :P)
* N3TGraph airguitars!

Pet Terry

The elbows on the front-view looks a little strange, like if it was a puppet. remove the curl on the shirt and it will look much better- Otherwise it's a great character, and it prves what i've allways stated: MsPaint is all you need...

Schattenjager

remove the curl, MrMasse? Do you mean at the bottom of the shirt? I think the problem is that Pippin's big sleeves merge with the bottom of his shirt.

agswannabe

shorten the guy's hair for god's sake! i first thought it was a female elf. maybe make him more masculine... or maybe you delibaretely made him look like that ???

Schattenjager

I made him look like that on purpose. He's an adolecent boy so you can't go overboard with the manliness. Besides, I like borderline-androgeny. <smirk>
