I think we've got the path, bunker, tree, tents, mountains, and sky down. Not much to go, keep up the work Rich.

Ok, I know i'm double posting but I have to put this in. I found some good colors, grass, and rock texture to do the ground with. I think this will be my last edit before i'm done with it.

Hey thats really nice. I like the path, the bunker bugs me though. Try the corigated iron look you had before.

uhg..the bunker is like..standing out and looks out of place...it might be the black lines are too thick or the texture just doesnt fit.
I need a title for my game! Please PM me if you'd like to find out what it's about. :D

I think the problem with the bunker is that the contrast is too high, its a little too dark and the texture is very sharp giving it a very jagged look, soften it a little and it will be fine. It also needs a little shadow on the left sidfe of the bunker.

The rest of the textures look really great, really come along all of a sudden. Still need to start getting rid of the black outlines, but then its nearly done!

hey nice stuff taffytome. About the bunker. I think the problem is the black outline. Use a darker shade of the main color for the outlines. And it may also look out of place becouse the ground around it has no texture.

I just kind of forgot to get rid of the black outline. I REALLY need help texturing the shaded areas! I can't get it right. Other than that things seem to be coming along good.Ã,  The bunker does seem to be blue but thats the color Lucas Arts seems to use for all the concrete in FoA because I couldn't find a better color. BUT SERIOUSLY I really need someone (that includes YOU Rich) to help texture where the shadows are!

speaking of black out lines "why are they there in  the first place?!" as far as I know (which isn't  much, I grant you) FoA NEVER had black outlines. if your going to imitate the lucasarts style, at least have no black outlines.
I would have that would have been the first thing people mentioned
as well the road and many other tectures just look placed there, no bluring as the road goes into the distance

Why don't you just use the standard texture for normal, lighter and darker areas, then put layers with black/white areas on top, set to around 30% opacity?

The problem with the bunker is that the perspective is wrong. It should be viewed almost from the side and not from above like it is now.

EDIT: I think it'll be better if you make the top edge more horizontal.

I did all this in MS Paint, I don't know what Rich used. I have changed the color on the bunker and finished everything even that shadow spot! Other than that I am done with this BG. And the black outlines were just guides from the original sketch/outline.
