New style Background (features a small waterfall :P)

Rightyho, here is an experimental Background I've been working on the past couple of days.

Looks great Daz .
I think the white highlights on the pool look a bit too thick in some places, and the two clouds look almost alike, but otherwise I like this style very much!

I particularly like the waterfall, and the other shadings aswell, on the stone wall especcially. I can't seem to figure out what the little green area under the plank and to the right of the fall is, i'd expect more stones there, unless it's grass growing on the stones.
The sun looks good, not the cliche sun I sometimes use .

I think that's fantastic!

I think you could solve the problem with the large reflection by using the same colour that you've used for the sky inbetween the white on the water maybe.

The clouds are great as is the sun. Perhaps the rocks look a little flat.

Not that I could do any better, mind ...

nice background, but when zoomed the smudge tool becomes quite obvious. I would suggest cleaning up the edges where smudge/blur has been used and maybe hand anti-alias the edges a little.

Ginny: The green bit under the bridge is the river bank on the other side, and ill make the white highlights on the pool thinner. Also i'll fix up the clouds .

Mousemat: The water would be animated if i were to use this Background for anything other than experimenting.

Nickeedoo: Thanks, i'll see how the water looks with the new hightlights and i will give the rocks a little attension.

Chicken: I will clean it up an give hand antialising a try.

uh... where is the water coming from? it looks like it just appears from the highest point in it's surroundings. Just looks a bit weird.

but well worth it! looks lovely, the sea could do with being a little more blue and same with the sky. Afterall remember water reflects the oxygen in the sky... or somthing like that.

So it should be near enough the same colour! Otherwise great bg.
