Lif voice

Im going to make Lif and The Treashure of the Tanones a talkie game. which of these voices sounds best? if none sound good tell me how I could improve them.
the files are amp1 amp2 and amp3.

I couldn't make out what the first sample was saying.

The second one was easier to understand, so that's already the better one.

The third one was still mumbling-ish like the first one.

His voice could potentially be alright, but it sounds to me like you're not feeling comfortable enough in front of the mic? Practice speaking more clearly.

Also, how is the character feeling about getting some mail? Right now, in the first sample he sounds almost pleased to have mail. but the others sound like he doesn't care. It's all in how you accentuate each word.
