Garden in mspaint

I just made this background in about an hour.. and I was wondering what you think of it? It's for the game Sam&Moos

It reminds me of old-school ega games.  I like the layout and it looks like it might work okay as a background but the colors are very CGA-ish.  Explore the paint palette features for mspaint and see if you can't come up with some lower-saturation, more neutral colors and it'll improve ten-fold.

I kept your picture pretty much as it was.
Added a sky...changed colors...outlined tree...shaded
bricks(?) a bit...

Your tree is very good. It has a nice mood to it.

I think it looks perfect, but I think something should be done with the path. I mean, it looks like the path is viewed from overhead, while everything else it from in front of it. To put it in short terms, the path looks like it has no perspective.

There is no sign or form of perspective..

I can see straight down on the roof and path.. But I can see the whole trunk of the tree  but not the top of it like I should. And the fence looks like it's down..

Other than that.. Nice color usage.

It looks pretty good, except for the perspective problem, I would suggest getting rid of the grass detial..looks kinda randomly placed.

Thanks wanderlady and all others! I know, that's what I thought also. The path. I will use your background (wanderlady) as an example. because I wanna make it myself ofcourse but thanks alot! Does this mean I have to scale the character also?
