grrrrrr, can some one help me with some tips on how to draw this

i've been tryign to draw thiso n paint for ages, but whatever i do the path seems grosly out of proportion or to long etc.
i think it's the perspective that's got me in a tizzy. can some one please take a look and give me some hints on what will make it easier.. please :D

Heh, well, for a starter, you might try and show us your efforts in re-drawing this picture. No offense, but I think it will be alot easier if we can actually see what you have acheived so far... :)

It's a nice photo, why not just use it?

A few tweaks in a photo editor would let you control the atmosphere:


(Please imagine this with slightly lower contrast, it displays differently in my software)

If you do want to redraw the picture, try drawing a 4x3 grid over the image, then do the same with a blank sheet of paper of the same size. With faint lines, copy the main details of each square in turn. That should help you keep you perspective in line for the path and so on.

I think Ali has a good idea. Its a really nice photo, so why not adjust it and use it in your game. You would have to have a character that would go with the backgrounds tho, but it would help alot in that you don't need to draw backgrounds.
