I tried to make him more simon sorcery

. I don't know does het fit in? Not too sure haha.

Some people at pixel joiny complained about the text so I just added simple buttons that doesn't take attention away from bg. Anyways, the character and gui was just added to make it more complete, not just bg haha, last minute addons.

I am in no position to criticize this, I think it's really looking perfect. One thing though: don't listen to the people over at pixeljoint, I like the gui with the words a lot more.

While StS backdrops were stylish and meticulous, a lot of the sprites were often clumsy and crude - I think the people drinking in the foreground of the bar illustrate that.

If your current sprite doesn't fit in its because it's notably better than the StS characters. As it is, I like the colours of your update, but I did like the stylish highly saturated shadows of the original.

I also feel the original eyes were more expressive, even if theyw ere less like Simon the Sorceror.

Well I think that's absolutely smashing!

Wy only crit (for all the texture in that scene must have take ages - I can never be arsed with that because I'm too lazy

) is the cyan sky colour which I would prefer if it was brighter and less saturated. Perhaps that's the same as in the Simon games - if it is then I retract my comments

Looks, really, really nice.

For a second I tought that "ok, so he ripped the bg elements from STS", but then I looked to the gif you had made. That is so well done.
And yes, character would need a little work, not much, as it looks really good too.
Keep it up, I see something big coming!
