i'll be honest i had my doubts about the supposed quality (and even existence) of yr project, but hey, this looks like it could be Maniac Mansion Deluxe Deluxe (as in with cool additions!)

The screens don't really look good. You just ripped off the original graphics, changed some of them and threw them together. As far as I see the furnituure is all copied from the mansion, nothing creative in particular.
The rooms doesnt fit to the style of the original mansion. Seams like you never saw a real mansion from the inside.
It doesnt have anything of the ambient of a real mansion.
The backgrounds look like they were done by a blind man.

Maniac Mansion Deluxe is called Deluxe, because the original game was improved. I dont see any improvement in his screens.

Please, don't be a jerk. Offer crit and ways to improve the art not insults.

Think about Maniac Mansion Mania. That's a project that actually lives from people reusing the same graphics over and over again in order to "keep a style" and have some templates. I can live with rerun graphics as long as the game's worthwhile.

Rubacant, I don't think that are bad screens. They look okay, nothing I would print out and use as a wallpaper, but easy on the eye and comfortably familiar. So keep it going 

You should really consider to keep the family tradition of "-ed" names I think that was done in DOTT, to? So Jed, Ped, er... Colette would do nice. Stinky just doesn't fit in.

Two times, you present us with two sides of a location- does that mean you're going to allow "turning around" in rooms?

I was makeing this for the  veteran maniac mansion players that can beat the Frist maniac mansion very easy.

It the same as here, the developers of MMM also use the furniture of original MM instead of creating their own ones. Thats not very creative.

I didnt want you to make the game in Dott style. What i meant was that the Maniac Mansion style is so easy to rebuild that you dont have to rip furniture from original MM. Dott style is much more difficult to rebuild.

So here are my tipps how to improve:
- make your own furniture
- make complete walk-cycles for your chars not just 2 views for each.
- visit a real mansion to get some inspiration
- play maniac mansion again and feel the atmsophere and attach it to your background. your present bgs doesnt have that atmosphere

Ok, then i can dissect your background
this is how you could improve your background:
-Dont use texture for the walls. Use gradients. Look at Lucasfan's Deluxe screens he used gradients.
-the left and the middle doors dont have gradients, they are "plain style". look at the right door, there is a gradient. also attach gradients like this to the other doors.
-whats that black points on the floor, some kind of ash or soil?
-Terry chin is in an right angle, this look a bit strange

Well, it doesnt really look like wood. maybe you should draw some wooden bars. If your walls are really made of wood, the tree had to be around 20 meters of Perimeter

edit: you used lucasfan-style backgrounds and your-own-style backgrounds . that doesnt fit together. decide for ONE style.

I use gradient and made the same wood texture lol 

anyway the gradient looks more like wall paper 

and if all the rooms looked the same it would be very boring

like in a real house one wall could be wood, bath room could be tile and living room wall paper

In one word: YES!!!
The floor is very strangely lightened. The right picture doesnt have an outline. The statue is "in the wall".
And some other details which i am not likely to count them all because its too much.

You call this maniac mansion? This is a shame for maniac mansion. If Ron Gilbert would have seen this he would have jumped out of the window.
The old MM looks weird but it doesnt look crappy. thats a difference.
