So, hm.  :-\
I'm not really comfortable with this. Something seems just... wrong, but I can't point out what is wrong. I guess it's something with too big controls or such... gah. The bottom of it doesn't fit with the (forced) letterboxing, too. At the top, I found a way to work around it, but at the bottom I can't think of anything proper.

Please help!

Maybe you could get rid of the ripped Wikipedia stuff on the side. The 'back' sign could be more stylized. And find a font that looks more 'computerized'.

I've worked on it a bit:

Thanks for the advice, IMO it looks way better now. Any further suggestions?

Some quick things:
-"knowledge" is spelt incorrectly, assuming that's the word you wanted
-perhaps a text box should be above the search button?
-I would move the back button to the left a bit, it looks too far right.  The arrow also seems a little out-of-place style-wise
-the Securipedia title should probably be a bit bigger
-perhaps put "The" in front of "world's best etc."

Hope some of these help in some way

Also, the sentence under 'Access Denied' seems too much like a cheesy 'As Seen On TV' commercial.

Okay, I worked on it a little. The problem with the back button is that it's no object or such, but a GUI which appears in every room. So if I adjust it too much to the Securipedia, it'll most likely not fit the other rooms anymore. I stylised it a little, though.

The font on the Back button could be more stylized.

The biggest problem I see with this is the layout isn't ... "convenient".  I don't know.  It feels thrown together rather than planned out.  I did this [below] in less than 20 minutes.

Probably went WAY overboard with this ... but I kind of dig the idea, so I thought I'd help out if possible:

(I put it with a lot of black around it so it'd show up easier with the forums light background)

The lighter color on the back button represents the mouseOver effect.

I am not sure if you're using all GUI controls and such for this (as you mentioned with the BACK button) so I don't know how far you can take it.  But I just wanted to give a "vision" of it I was imagining.  I AM using a similar design (to my paint-over) on something else I'm working on, but feel free to use it if you'd like!

Also ... attemps = "attempts" ;)

Good luck with the project!

A bit too StarCraft-y... or maybe it's just me.

Anyway, it's nice, but it doesn't fit the rest of Akatosh's game, seeing as how the rest of the graphics are completely different.

At least, that's what I gather from the demo ;).

Wow, Darth!  :o

I'm missing the words too say how great that looks. I think I'll just change some little detail and adapt it to the general style of my game... but in general, this is way better and fits the general style of my game much more than than what I made up.

Thanks, and be sure to appear in the 'special thanks to' section of the credits  ;D

Buckethead

wow I can some how see that Darth is a web designer  :)

Okay, it's implented in the game. I decided to leave it pretty much as-is.

With main page (the text is a stupid full-of-mistakes placeholder) and text in the search text box (yes, it's actually a GUI*  :o)!

*= Neat how I made it looking like that, huh?  ;)
