Well, it's pretty nice so far, but:

-The brick walkway just doesn't look right. Try having the bricks look more like they're in perspective (i.e., make their sides less straight, EDIT: and make the ones at the back smaller so they look further away). You may also want to consider using unevenly shaped stones for the walkway instead of rectangular bricks -- it'd probably help the "spooky" look a bit to have more "organic" shapes and all (instead of stiff-looking, boring bricks... but maybe that's just me).
-Though the idea of the door is nice, it looks odd.  The knob, especially, should probably be lower.
-As compared to the door, those torch things seem awfully big.

Also, if those are cattails growing here and there, consider that they usually grow in fairly damp environments, like marshes, swamps, bogs, lakes and such (as far as I know, anyway). Those trees look a bit bog-like, so that may be what you're going for anyway.

PS- Are you drawing on FAX sheets?...  :=

EDIT: Though not necessary by any means, in the future you might find it easier to transfer your scanned sketches into coloured backgrounds if you use mostly line art for your drawings (i.e., don't shade things)... especially if you're not colouring it using layers.

EDIT: And might I add that if you can make this into a nice, workable background, that you've made tremendous artistic strides since the room you posted for the first post in this topic. And that wasn't even a month ago. Keep up the good work.  :=

(gosh I like the new Larry Vales smiley...)

EDIT: Figured I'd give a go at colouring that background that you'd posted up there...

Added a wood floor for texture. Thought the rug (if that's what it is) looked sort of regal with those colours. And I made the doorways that murky purple just to fill space, since I have no idea what's beyond them.

By the way, what was up with the discoloured pixels in that picture (yours)? Like the cyan ones on the left on the left door, along the top of the running board/ moulding, for example. Just curious.

Mousemat, you keep publishing material that you haven't worked on for more than a few seconds, then you rely on other people's benevolence to have them edited for you.

Moreover, you post way too much and too often, and with a ridiculous amount of smileys.

If you have to post every other minute, and if you have to keep displaying pictures without working on them properly first, then for god's sake, get rid of the smileys!

Now don't let me catch you with another smiley, kid, or I'll remove your post immediately.
