Some things have black outlines and others don't have any outlines at all. Looks random, messy and out of style. And the framed photos don't help either. the side walls are a mess.

Why don't you leave MM rest in pease and make something of your own...

Please don't try to insult Krysis for his grammar, when you obviously suck at it... Personally, I'm sick of you personally attacking everyone who has anything negative or critisizing to say about your stuff.
And for "Bob goes home: Deluxe", he didn't make the whole game himself, but he worked with others as a team, and he made some awesome graphics for the game

! What you seem to do is just to copy the MM games or something...

Then for some constructive critisism: Stop the copy/pasting of images etc there, and try to draw them on your own! That would help you keep some consistensy in the style, and it would probably overall look better!

Please... Yes, coolio did give you constructive crit, but so did most of the other people in this thread! It seems like you are waiting for someone to pat your back.

As for some more crit, just to not get overboard with off-topic chitchat. I'd say you get rid off the "crack" on the TV as it don't look like a crack, but some white lines on the telly. And as people told you before, you should make some black outlines on everything or nothing, to keep consistensy.

And Fart faces art are amongst the best in these forums IMO!

NO ONE has said it looks like crap and you should give up. All that anyone has said (including Krysis and Ghost in another thread) is that it looks a bit sloppy and inconsistant.
You're mixing high and low detailed pixel graphics, photos and textures and it just doesn't work. It's not 'Maniac Mansion style', it's a mess.
Krysis' other advice - to develop something in your own style (again, mirroring Ghost's advice) is also good. Figure out how to make a background yourself, from scratch and work from there. You might find it easier to make MM-styled backgrounds in the future. You might find a totally different style that still 'works' when you come back to your MM game and decide to use that.

(If this sound familiar, it's because it's very similar to the advice lots of people - me included - have already given you on everything from scripting to storylines: Start small, learn the basics, and work your way up.)

EDIT:
Also, can you please shorten the link to the MM screenshot a couple of posts back? It's stretching out the page and making things hard to read.

Rubacant your jealousy amazes me, Krysis is an amazing artist. Personally i havn't been impressed by any of your backgrounds, i hate it when people rip backgrounds from games and make small degrading edits.

But that doesn't mean you can't improve. I suggest working on some of your own art, or if that's too hard try harder to replicate the MM style.
