Here are two characters from my upcoming horror game, Sanctuary. The one on the top is a priest with a scarred face, and the one on the bottom is a kind of guy you'd see drinking coffee at a Starbucks while listening to a Beck CD. The one on the bottom isn't fully done yet,

If anyone would like to help animating these and some other characters for my game, please contact me. I suck at animation.

maybe they'll look more scary if you didn't use those bright and happy colors.

The top guy isn't using any happy colors, he's just black and grey and beige-whatever, and I don't think the bottom guy is supposed to be scary.

I like the preist...he is spooky but the starbucks guy seems a bit wobbly when compared...

Two things:
1. Please don't use JPG to post images.
2. Perhaps the scars on the priests face should be dark red instead of black.
I look just like Bobbin Threadbare.

Anym, posting jpg is kind of a standard, so it's definitely allright...

And Sam, about animation - the deal is that you should try first yourself and post the result, and we'll point out what you've done good and bad.

Pessi

Just to elaborate on the image format issue, you shouldn't use JPG for images that have less than 256 colors. They get messy because of the JPG artifacts.

For pixely images (less than 256 colors), you should use GIF. It maintains the exact pixels without any artifacts. They retain the look they were originally given.

Personally, I would use a bit less saturated colors to convey the horror game atmosphere. I mean, the second character has the most vibrant red and blue, for example, which are kind of opposite of scary.

The overall look for the characters is really good though. The shapes are really nice.

BerserkerTails

The y both look pretty good, but I agree with everyone else on the matter. Also, the priest's scras look a bit too big, they kinda (to me) look like his fave has been sewn up with a needle and thread. Perhaps a change in color, or maybe width could change this. Good job overall though!
I make music.

what i really ment waS, the priest shouldn't be so lifelike. he should be pale. don't you think?
