I don't wanna be an ass, but, honestly, the modifications you are doing look like "sport the 7 differences". At a glance, they seem exactly the same image for me. It will take you eons to get something if you are so conservative about the propossed changes...
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Edit: Stupid post.
Hell is like Tetris, make sure that you fit.

Mats Berglinn

You can't notice the difference much because his arm covers the back so you can't see it very well.

Helm, if you're not trying to give me any advice or constructive critism, then don't post at all, especially not stupid, pointless, unfunny, mocking remakes of my stuff (and others too). Okay?

Nacho

It was funny... eeer... Back to topic please, or PGZ will kill us!  :)

Yeah, and when it's someone with a reputation as Helm's, leave it be.Ã,  :D

EDIT: And note that I totally agree with his answer later.

And to stay in topic, his other leg appears to start lower than the other leg. As in, it's lower while the hip is not... figure it out

Khris

IMO, the whole pose is wrong.

Here's three examples:

Try to imagine you had aching joints and a bad back, and then pick up something from the ground. Infront of a mirror, or just look at yourself.
And its very important that you watch the proportions. With your sprite, they are all shot to hell. Head's too big, legs're too short, arms too thick.
Don't start with a body part, then add the rest, instead you have to begin with a stick figure. Tweak it, until it looks like a real person, then add flesh and clothing.

Google for human proportions, use photos as reference, look at yourself in the mirror.
Do whatever is necessary to get those proportions right. Until then, it's totally unimportant whether the nose is pointy or not.

This is such bullshit. Doesn't hold true at all.

I'm sorry Mats, I won't do it again.

For the sake of their health I must say...

Dude, if you keep crounching over like that you'll look like the pose in the middle.

Mats, I kept you in mind as a guy lacking in sense of humor. You haven't changed not a little.

Well, sorry but I sense nonsense here.

Consctuctive criticism? Nobody will critique your work in a "conscructive way" if you're so afraid of experimenting. I don't want to write "Hey, yes! It's a hell better!" post (only to satisfy your ego) if I don't see any essential difference between the lastest paintovers. If I give you some tip, you won't use it anyway. After all, it isn't traditional art where you have to worry about almost every line you draw. Standing still isn't rather good so take your (Paint)brush and try something new.

Just btw, two-frame animation wouldn't look nice in a high resolution.

Good luck with the game, Mats!

A fast edit. I don't think it will help you much, since it's messed up and done from scratch. Looking at your banner/signature, i'd say that if the game looks like that, you shouldn't worry too much about getting things right and just get on with it.

Sorry for being such a ba***rd by telling off with such a intense way, I was just annoyed and frustrated that I didn't get finished as quick as I hoped for (Just some tweaks, getting the words of approval and then done) and when Helm used that joke paintover I was even more annoyed because it didn't help me and I was fearing that it would be like the "Santa's wife's shoe" topic, which could meant that the topic was going to take forever and since I have worked with the first part of the game (which is going to be released in the demo) over a year, steadily got postponed because of all kinds of problems. I'm really sorry, really I am very sorry for this incident. I'm going to try hard not to get this angry over joke paintovers, I promise. Please forgive me guys.

CJ, sorry I wasn't aware of that I broke the rules, I just was annoyed and frustrated and that kind of humor isn't really my part of humor.

Now, here's a totally new pose of the hypnotist:

Khrismuc and ManicMatt's comments had some points since the Hypnotist is about 60 years old. If an old guy would bend over he would go: Crack! "Oh, my back!!". That's why I changed from beding over to make him stand on his knees.

I also extended his arms since they were too short to reach the ground. I'm aware of that his lower right arm looks weird and the hands are in wrong sizes but I'll fix that later. Other than that, is there anything else that I might improve?

Also, I have been thinking that I would make it as an animation instead of just switching from the standing view to the pick up veiw (it would make more sense by the way since he have to trying to get the coin for a few seconds, which is part of a puzzle). I'm going to work on the between-frames once I'm done with this.

Saberteeth

A great paintover!

It's just that the thighs are too closley alliged. I don't think you bend down like that, there's a little more space between the thighs.

But then again, some people probably do bend down like that, so it's our choice if you're gonna take my critic into consideration.
